The latest issue of White Dwarf (that’s number 460, for those keeping count) is on its way soon. Today, we’re taking a peek between the covers at some of the awesome articles that you can look forward to.
Our first stop is the grim darkness of the far future. A new Flashpoint series kicks off in the Charadon War Zone as the sector comes under brutal attack from the Death Guard. Even though Sanguinala is over, they’re determined to spread Grandfather Nurgle’s blessings to this crucial Imperial sector.
A new Tale of Four Warlords also kicks off this month as four hobbyists create a new Warhammer 40,000 army from scratch – maybe they’ll inspire your New Year New Army projects.
Finally, this month’s Index Astartes is written by Aaron Demski-Bowden himself and focuses on the Emperor’s Spears, the Space Marines Chapter that he created for Black Library.*
There’s something big happening in the Mortal Realms this month as Rules of Engagement is all about the Sons of Behemat. If you’ve ever wondered how the studio creates and evolves new rules for a faction, you can learn here with the help of our rock-throwing gargant friends.
For those who prefer their Warhammer a little smaller, a new six-part story kicks off this month. Chronicles of the Wanderer by David Guymer follows the adventures of a mysterious duardin hero. Who is he? And where will his adventures take him? There’s only one way to find out!
Bob: Look, Jim, they’ve let us loose in White Dwarf again.
Jim: Yes, Bob, this month we’re taking a look back at the history of Blood Bowl.
Bob: That’s going to one heck of a highlights reel, Jim.
Jim: I still can’t believe you said that I’m YOUR sidekick though, Bob.
Rounding out our preview, in this month's Glory Points, Warhammer Underworlds’ lead rules writer, Dave Sanders, writes about Direchasm and what we can expect from a new season of the action-packed combat game.
