Ever since the release of Indomitus, it seems like the Space Marines and Necrons just can’t give each other a moment’s peace. Join Mission Report as we delve into the Pariah Nexus to take a look at how several heroes of the Indomitus Crusade will be joining the Kill Team field.
Space Marines
Fresh from lopping heads off the Emperor’s enemies with his two-handed Executioner relic blade, the Judiciar brings his esoteric time manipulation to the Kill Team arena.
Far more than just a Space Marine with a big sword, the Judiciar’s signature Tempormortis ability is the perfect tool for ensuring your opponent’s toughest fighters find themselves thoroughly in last place when the swinging starts.
That sword of his isn’t just for show, though. When the enemy is brought to a standstill, you’ll find them easy prey for a few good chops.
Even the Emperor’s finest need a bit of spiritual guidance every now and then, and Chaplains have always been on hand to offer calm, measured advice – usually long after their bellowing fits of rage. Their Spiritual Leader Aura Tactic extends their Leadership to surrounding battle-brothers, allowing them to become a vital rock around which the rest of the kill team assembles.
Stay tuned to Warhammer Community for more information on how the rest of the Adeptus Astartes’ newest arrivals will make their presence known in the Pariah Nexus. In the meantime… is there something stirring beneath the sands?
Necrons
As Necrons of all shapes and colours flock to the Pariah Nexus, forces of the Imperium face off against soldiers from many different dynasties. As the most numerous and commonly encountered of the Necron race, the kill teams of the Sautekh Dynasty are among the first that many brave interlopers will encounter.
Befitting their infamy as inexorable conquerors, their own personal Dynastic Code allows your troops to march unceasingly across the field as their weapons flare emerald blasts left and right.
At the forefront of their march stand the Royal Wardens, the Overlord’s trusted lieutenants and commanders of the soulless Necron Warriors. Able to lay down a withering amount of firepower with their relic gauss blasters, they’re perfect for leading your forces into battle, and you can add these leaders to your kill teams for a mere 46 points.
Best of all, their prowess in command allows them to pull your less melee-inclined warriors out of close combat in a pinch – perfect if that Judiciar gets too close for comfort.
We’ll have much more to share with you regarding the next evolution of Kill Team over the coming months, so make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep up with the latest. Who knows, you might even get a sneak peek of something even greater coming soon…
