When a sorcerous plague ravages War Zone Metalica, the Adepta Sororitas forces under Palatine Erika Luminas must race to find the bones of an Imperial saint. With them, they’ll bolster a protective ward around the sector’s most vital cities. Unluckily for them, they’re about to step into the gladiatorial event of the century.
While the Adepta Sororitas are trying to save an entire sector, Lelith Hesperax is embarking on a quest of equally vital importance: making a really good spectacle filled with various entertainments. To prove once and for all that she’s the best gladiator in the shockingly lethal city of Commorragh, Lelith turned the city of Purity into a deadly arena full of traps and called in the cream of Drukhari nobility* to watch her acrobatic displays of wanton murder.
You may have seen the models revealed in our Christmas Preview, but now it’s time to find out who’s got what it takes to kick their foes out of the city of Purity once and for all.
Contestant 1: Palatine Erika Luminas
The Palatine sisters act as lieutenants for their Canonesses, helping to direct the firepower of their Battle Sisters and leading them in the charge when duty calls for retribution to be delivered up close. They’re dab hands at getting the most out of Retributor squads, which is lucky because that’s exactly what Erika’s brought along with her.
Best of all, if her fellow Sisters and unbending faith in the Emperor aren’t enough (and why wouldn’t they be?), she can pull the classic Imperial ‘stick them with a power sword’ trick.
Contestant 2: Lelith Hesperax
The Battle Sisters will have their work cut out for them, as they’re about to face the winner of our Warhammer 40,000 Death Match, who cut down the likes of Sly Marbo and Castellan Crowe to take her crown. Never one to rest on her laurels, it looks like Lelith has been sharpening her skills even further since then.
As a master performer as well as a fighter, Lelith Hesperax knows how to delight her audience with displays of lethal acrobatics and blood-soaked artistry.
Who are you rooting for? Are you looking to liberate the city’s holy relics or turn the faith of the Imperium against itself in a gory gladiatorial display?
