We’ve seen the heroes, we’ve seen their bodyguards, and we’ve even seen a big floating rock with a house on top of it. Now, to cap off our week of Lumineth coverage, we’re bringing you a handy guide to staying safe in the days to come, as Teclis unleashes his latest schemes against Nagash.
In case you missed the trailer, the Mortal Realms are set to face an upheaval of cataclysmic proportions when the armies of Hysh bring down their judgement on Death’s legions in Broken Realms: Teclis, which is available to pre-order this Saturday.
In our experience, it’s pretty common for the actions of gods to affect us mortals too, so we’ve put together a simple, three-step plan to ensure you stay safe during whatever’s coming next.
1. Be aware of current events
As you may have noticed during the tumult surrounding Morathi’s ascension to godhood, the Broken Realms saga sees age-defining events ripple across the realms. With two of the greatest mages in Warhammer history taking aim at each other, something’s inevitably going to crop up near your home even if you’re not a denizen of Hysh or Shyish.
After all, Nagash is nothing if not a schemer, and the forces of Death are all too happy to enact a few grand plans of their own. We’ve heard rumours that something is going on under the mountains of Chamon too – so keep up to date, and don’t get caught out when their plans inevitably spill over.
2. Stay away from giant, glowing warlords
You wouldn’t believe how many times we’ve had to say this. With the forces of Light and Death clashing across multiple realms, mighty champions are thrust into deadly duels that see some of the finest fighters in the Mortal Realms test their skills against one another. To be quite honest, they’re rarely looking out for bystanders when the swinging starts.
One to keep an eye on is the Light of Eltharion, who’s about to get a chance to enact his long-awaited revenge on Arkhan the Black. With his incorporeal foe possessing no more flesh to age into dust, can the dread Mortarch withstand Eltharion’s furious assault? If you want to find out, please do so from a safe distance.
3. Keep an eye on the neighbours
Although the Lumineth Realm-lords and the Ossiarch Bonereapers are taking centre-stage in Broken Realms: Teclis, they’re not the only ones getting drawn into the gods’ struggle. Dark machinations headed by everyone’s favourite backstabbing vampire seem to be riling up the plague hosts of Nurgle, who are taking to the field with some newly updated heralds at the fore.
The Hyshian city of Settler’s Gain is also arriving on the battlefield to assist the Lumineth forces, with a full set of allegiance abilities, artefacts, and command traits for this new City of Sigmar to choose from. While it might seem like a good time to call in sick from militia duty, on the other hand, you get to fight alongside an eclectic mix of Stormcast, Lumineth, and fellow humans – which is not an experience that comes up very often.
Be sure to (safely) pay witness to the Mage God’s grand attempt to end the Soul Wars once and for all when Broken Realms: Teclis goes up for pre-order on Saturday. While you’re waiting, check out more of what’s coming to the expanded Lumineth Realm-lords range here at Warhammer Community, including a look at the second aelementiri temple and its wind-riding mages.
