This Battle Sister Has It All – Faith, a Sword, and an Absolutely Massive Banner

Welcome to the latest instalment of The Battle Sister Bulletin, our regular look at some of the coolest things that are on the way for the Adepta Sororitas. Last time, we met a new division of the elite Celestian order, and today something (or someone) even fancier is coming into view.

The position of Reliquant at Arms is typically given to long-standing members of the Orders Pronatus, the holy protectors and reclaimers of the thousands of artefacts coveted by the Adepta Sororitas. They are skilled both in the care and restoration of ancient relics, as well as the destruction of those who would do them harm – so it’s definitely handy to have one around when a crusade is calling.

The Sister known as Aestred Thurga has dedicated her life to the protection of one relic above all others, the wonderfully named Auto-Tapestry of the Emperor’s Judgement. Weaved across the lifespans of five Canonesses and thrumming with the holy power of the Emperor’s gaze, the Auto-Tapestry (and its indomitable custodian) can be found in the records of some of the bloodiest battles the Adepta Sororitas have ever faced.

The banner itself is resplendent with detail, topped with an ornate crown of iron and the skull of a devout, while its bearer strikes a more restrained figure wearing austere robes over her armour, and carrying the mighty Blade of Vigil.

The glory of the Auto-Tapestry is a boon to the Sisters who fight under it, so make sure to pack your budding Adepta Sororitas force with plenty of Battle Sisters, Celestians, and Retributors to take full advantage when Aestred Thurga is released.
