Welcome to day four of Warhammer Fest Online. So far this week, we’ve met a new god of Destruction, seen reinforcements for the Adepta Sororitas, and had a first look at the Black Library books you’ll be reading soon. Today, it's the turn of our boxed games and we have MASSIVE reveals for:
We’ve got a model you’ve been asking about for years, the sneakiest spies, and something a little fishy. So put another pair of socks on, because we’re about to knock off the ones you’re wearing.
But before we do, make sure you check out the reveal show first if you missed it earlier.
Direchasm has been a great season for Warhammer Underworlds. We’ve seen a whole host of new warbands, such as Khagra’s Ravagers and the Crimson Court, that have brought incredible mechanics to the game, and now it’s time to reveal this season’s final warband.
Yes, it’s the first-ever Idoneth Deepkin warband for Warhammer Underworlds, and these are the first new models we’ve seen for this faction since the waves parted and we met the soul-hungry aelves. Let’s take a closer look at Elathain’s Soulraid.
Wait, is that a crab?! It looks like you’ll be able to put the pinch on any enemies that get in your way. The fighters in this warband have also got a fair few tricks up their excellently tailored aelven sleeves – we’ll be exploring these in detail when we get closer to their release.
Next, we move from the Mortal Realms to the underhive, but the haircuts remain the same.
It’s time for the Delaque clan to get the ‘House of’ treatment, as a new book is on the way. This tome contains more lore and deeper background on this mysterious clan than we’ve ever seen before, plus fresh ways to play your Delaque gangs.
Along with the book, the Delaque are also getting some new fighters for their gangs that really embody their mysterious and unusual manners.
The Nacht-Ghul are new Delaque Champions – assassins and saboteurs without peer. If you need someone ‘disappeared’ or want an enemy factory to stop producing inexplicably, this is who you should call.
At the other end of the experience-scale are the Psy-Gheists – youngsters who have learned how to tap into their psychic power.
They’re accompanied by the strange creatures known as Psychoteric Wyrms and Piscean Spektors – we’re not entirely sure what these things are, but we’re going to have a lot of fun finding out.
Oh, and just because we’ve announced books for the six ‘classic’ Necromunda Houses, you’d best not think there won’t be lots more stuff on the way for the underhive gang skirmish game. We’re only just getting started.
While we’re in the depths of the underhive, take a look at the new trailer for Necromunda: Hired Gun. This first-person shooter will make you feel like you’re slugging it out with the worst of the worst.
Finally, look to the skies! It can’t be, can it?
It’s not just Thunderhawks that are inbound though, there’s a whole new Aeronautica Imperialis boxed set – Wrath of Angels. After Wings of Vengeance, featuring Orks and the Imperial Navy, and Skies of Fire, which introduced the T’au Air Caste, this set is all about Aeldari Craftworlds versus Space Marines.
As you might expect, the Aeldari aircraft are sleek machines as befits their speed and manoeuvrability.
Joining them in fast-paced, brutal, air-to-air dogfighting are the flying vehicles of the Adeptus Astartes. While they might not be as mobile as their foes, they’re certainly durable and deadly.
We can’t leave you with just that tease of a plastic Thunderhawk. Check out the iconic Space Marines aircraft.
Finally, to round off today’s Warhammer Fest Online, we have an exclusive interview with Andy Hoare, one of the lead designers in the boxed games studio, where he fills us in on House of Shadow and Wrath of Angels. Join us as we get the inside scoop.
We’ll have more details on all of these amazing reveals as we get closer to their releases. Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter so you don’t miss out on anything, and check back tomorrow for even more Warhammer Fest Online goodness.
