A few weeks ago, we looked at the recent events that shook the Mortal Realms in the run-up to Dominion’s release, but what’s a hobbyist to do if they want to know everything that’s happened so far? Even as far back as the Age of Myth?
Well, the Warhammer Age of Sigmar website has received a series of awesome updates to prepare for the new edition, and one of the latest features to be added is a rather excellent timeline.
Take a look at the kind of detail it goes into.
This timeline covers all of the most important events that have occurred since Sigmar was found clinging to Mallus in the depths of the astral sea by the godbeast Dracothion. Across dozens of entries, it charts the epic tales of the Age of Myth, the rise and fall of the Age of Chaos, and the dawn of the Age of Sigmar which saw Kragnos burst from his mountainous prison to wreak havoc once more.
If you’re starting your adventures in the Mortal Realms with the Dominion boxed set (and with two full armies included, it’s a dazzlingly good place to begin), the timeline gives you the perfect opportunity to brush up on any lore you might have missed.
With the story evolving through each edition, and major series like the Broken Realms saga, it pays to keep abreast of the realms’ daily goings-on.
Best of all, if you see a faction you like the look of while you’re there, you can check out our series of Faction Focus articles to get a deeper look at how they perform on the battlefield.
Wondering how the lunacy of the Gloomspite Gitz is reacting to the changes in the new edition? Perhaps the delusions of the Flesh-eater Courts have you curious? Discover all of this and more by visiting the Faction Focus article hub.
Make sure you keep an eye on the Warhammer Age of Sigmar website for more updates and special features as we get closer to Dominion going up for pre-order this Saturday, and join us tomorrow as we fill you in on exactly how you can get your hands on the launch box.
