Fans of Space Marines have truly been spoiled for choice in the action figure department this year. It seems like only yesterday that Vanguard Space Marine figures by JOYTOY deployed to your shelves, gardens, and fridges, but reinforcements are already on their way.
A squad of four Intercessors comes from the Ultramarines, loaded up with their signature Cawl-pattern bolt rifles and an arsenal of accessories. Each Space Marine has two heads – with and without helmets, in case they need to feel the breeze through their hair – and the Sergeant totes his trusty Astartes chainsword. In fact, he looks rather similar to the star of a certain cinematic trailer…
Like the Incursors and Infiltrators before them, these Intercessors are about 10cm (4.75”) tall and feature 25 points of articulation for dynamic posing. They look phenomenal up close too, with full edge highlighting and painted details down to their squad markings.
It’s not just the Ultramarines joining the fight. The Blood Angels have dispatched their own Death Company Intercessors. Decked out head-to-toe in their signature black armour and red crosses, they cut a striking figure.
Like their battle-brothers from Macragge, each figure can go with or without their helmet – and since this is the close combat-hungry Death Company we’re talking about, all four have chainswords and bolt pistols to supplement their bolt rifles.
We’ve only seen infantry up until now, but if you’ve seen JOYTOY’s other work you know they make even bigger figures, and Space Marines love bringing imposing wargear to battle. With that in mind, here’s a sneak peek at something you can expect to see more of soon.
Both squads of Intercessors will be available soon, and we’ll have more news on their release dates in a future update. Sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to get every announcement from the worlds of Warhammer sent straight to your inbox.
