AdeptiCon is back with a bang, and tickets for the 2022 event will go on sale next month. It’ll take place in March, in Schaumburg, Illinois.
As one of the biggest independent wargaming events in the world, you can expect to see loads of gaming events, team tournaments for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and tourneys featuring other fan favourite games – and, of course, there’ll be a ton of reveals. Independent events don’t come much bigger and better than this, and it comes with loads of extra goodies for Warhammer fans.
Registration for the event will open on the 11th of January at 7pm Central Time, while the event catalogue preview will be available on the 28th of December. You’ll be pleased to hear that a lot of work has gone into Covid safety precautions, and attendees will need to show either that they are vaccinated, or had a negative test within 72 hours.
Golden Demon
This year you can expect plenty of new games and models, as well as hobby seminars from some big Warhammer names. What’s more, Golden Demon, one of the longest-running and most prestigious miniatures painting competitions in the world, returns to the US for the first time in over 10 years. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Warhammer event without a big, juicy Warhammer Preview to keep you on the edge of your seats.
Golden Demon is a breathtaking display of some of the best painting skills the world has to offer. For spectators, it’s a celebration of the hobby and a showcase of stunning miniatures painted by some seriously talented artists. For participants, it’s the ultimate challenge – the Golden Demon statue is one of the greatest honours a painter can achieve.
Golden Demon’s triumphant return marks a decade since it was last held in America, making the 2022 event extra special. You can learn more about it – and check out some seriously cool models – on the Golden Demon website.

Previews and Seminars
Every year at AdeptiCon, Warhammer reveals a host of new models, books, and games, treating event-goers to some of the juiciest reveals of the season. Hold onto your helmets and strap into your Drop Pods, for this year’s preview is set to deliver a huge amount of new intel to welcome AdeptiCon back with style.
You can also find painting seminars run throughout the event by some familiar faces...
Games
Of course, it wouldn’t be AdeptiCon without some gaming, and there’s plenty of Warhammer action planned. The Warhammer Age of Sigmar team event has been expanded to mirror the established Warhammer 40,000 version, with four-player teams in both.
Then there’s a Warhammer 40,000 friendly event, a Warhammer Underworlds Grand Clash, and, for the very first time, Warcry, as well as events for other systems including Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team.
