January has been packed to the pointy ears with reveals of upcoming Aeldari models, including Rangers and Shroudrunners from the Eldritch Omens battlebox. Now, a full warhost of new arrivals have made themselves known at the Las Vegas Open.
Back with a jaw-dropping new model and one of the greatest glow-ups we’ve ever seen, the Avatar of Khaine resumes his rightful place as the blazing incarnation of Aeldari wrath.
For the first time, this massive new model comes with weapon options seen in classic Warhammer artwork – get vengeance for the Fall with a molten axe or release your inner hoplite with a spear and crested helm.
The Avatar does not have a monopoly on death, however. The Phoenix Lord Maugan Ra is back too, with Maugetar in hand.
As you can see, the progenitor of the Dark Reapers is packed with skeletal detail in his first-ever plastic incarnation.
Meanwhile, hot on the heels of the Shroudrunners come the jetbiking Aspect Warriors of the Shining Spears. There’s never been a better time to build the all-bike Saim-Hann army of your dreams, with enough high-speed action to make the White Scars blush.
Like the other upcoming Aspect Warriors, these Shining Spears are packed with options and can be assembled with or without helmets for an army of Ynnari. One can be built as an Exarch with a powerful star lance or paragon sabre, and a shuriken cannon slung below his ride.
These forces are commanded by the new Autarch and Warlock kits, and with redoubtable ranks of Guardian Defenders and Storm Guardians at their backs, the craftworlds are ready to return to Warhammer 40,000 with an almighty thump.
There’s one more Aeldari surprise coming from today’s smorgasbord of Warhammer Preview Online reveals, so head back to our hub for announcements from the Las Vegas Open tournament and scan the stars.
