Having made their debut in the Hexfire Battlebox, the incorruptible Castellan Crowe and the (very corruptible) Infernal Master are available to pre-order separately for the first time from Saturday. To celebrate, we’re showing off some remarkable examples of paint jobs from Instagram.
@j_studio_custom_paint
This Castellan Crowe demonstrates a fantastic use of object source lighting, with the armour of the Grey Knight painted as if it’s illuminated by the sword itself – we can just imagine him squaring off against Max Soule’s glowing Be’lakor.
@plastic_path
The rich, aged gold adorning this Infernal Master looks incredible, while the spectral warpfire effect as the tiny Screamers are brought forth into the mortal plane is extraordinarily eye-catching.
@victipo
This stoic Castellan Crowe is every inch the champion of the Order of Purifiers – the sharp contrast between his sword’s black exterior and the throbbing red of its runes makes the Black Blade of Antwyr look just as evil as it should.**
@bawpainting
Despite the Instagram handle, this Castellan Crowe is in anything but black and white, featuring an ominous effect on the Purifier’s cursed blade* and a sumptuous cape. If you’re looking for some tips on painting your own capes, check out our step-by-step guide.
@matveevvk93
Finally, we have another jaw-dropping example of Castellan Crowe – this one’s loaded with holy script,*** and even has magnetised heads so that he can easily switch between helmeted and bare-headed options without having to go through the full armouring ritual.
Thanks everyone! Don’t forget to keep sharing your miniatures on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with #WarhammerCommunity for your chance to appear on here in the future.
Castellan Crowe and the Infernal Master are available to pre-order from the webstore from Saturday. Can’t decide which one you prefer? Show your love for both with this Hexfire T-shirt – and remember, you can pre-order a special edition of Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters where you can unleash Castellan Crowe.
