Big things are coming for Warcry. Look to the skies to decipher the portents.
Warcry’s vicious skirmish combat has always been set in and around the Eightpoints – the savage centre of the Mortal Realms, where the followers of Chaos endeavour to prove themselves worthy of Archaon’s attention, and warbands from other Grand Alliances seek to purify, plunder, or prey upon the Everchosen’s acolytes.
Yet the Mortal Realms are full of other great places to skirmish over,* and – as the ominous events in the trailer suggest – we’ll soon be exploring a new one. We can’t say too much more today, but we can confirm that it’s a new setting with incredible new terrain and brand new warbands – some of which which may surprise you.
The Horns of Hashut are one such warband. These mortal followers of the god Hashut venture out in front of his all-conquering legions, seeking lands worthy of domination. They’re the vanguard of devastation and despair in a brutal machinery of endless war… and they have some very impressive hats.
The Horns of Hashut see the thriving jungles of Ghur and want nothing more than to burn them down to make way for the forges and foundries demanded by their dark father.
It’s not just about new warbands though – Warcry is also another stomping ground for the monsters of the Mortal Realms. Take a gander at the incredible new Centaurion Marshal.
As a Chaos Ally, this quarrelsome quadruped can be taken by a host of warbands – and as you might expect from someone wielding four weapons at once, he’s very handy in a fight.
