Who wouldn’t want to be a Witch Hunter? What with all the cool weapons, thrilling adventures, and dapper hats, it has to be one of the better jobs available in the Mortal Realms – or the World-that-Was.
That being said, it’s obviously not without its risks. Innumerable evil beings populate the shadows – not to mention party poopers asking ridiculous questions like “how do you know they’re a witch?” – and being a Witch Hunter does mean marching right up to their doors with torch and pitchfork in hand.
If you’re willing to face these dire challenges, welcome! Before you sign for your weapons, physical training, and hat,* there is of course a practical exam… and some required reading.
The Witch Hunter’s Handbook
Written by Darius Hinks, The Witch Hunter’s Handbook sets out the requirements governing those Witch Hunters sworn to do Sigmar’s work in the Old World. The Six Holy Principles make up the original founding tenets of The Ancient Initiatic and Holy Order of the Templars of Sigmar – as recorded in Hieronymus Black’s Rules and Statutes.
Every member of the Holy Order** is presented with a copy of this 96-page tome to remind them of these Principles and the duties required of them, and now you can own a perfect replica. This beautifully presented special edition is flexibound, features an embossed cover, and includes a free bookmark.
The Witch Hunter’s Handbook will be available as a Print on Demand product from the 20th of August from the Games Workshop webstore, and from selected retail partners.
* Seriously, did we mention the hat?!
** If you prefer to enjoy the work of a Witch Hunter from the comfort of your own chamber, then the Black Library Readers Choice winner, Witch Hunter by C L Werner would be a great place to start.
