The latest big battlebox for Warhammer Age of Sigmar is available for pre-order this weekend. Set in the realm of Hysh, Arcane Cataclysm presents two halves of an enchanted coin – and two complete forces to boot!
Take command of the sorcerous Lumineth Realm-lords led by a Scinari Enlightener, or marshal the nefarious Disciples of Tzeentch, under the sway of the scheming Curseling. These two forces are drawn to battle as each tries to secure devastatingly powerful arcane weaponry from a time long passed – weapons which now lie beneath the sands of Iliatha.
When last used these potent devices tore the land asunder in a blinding inferno of magical fire and light. The once symmetrical plains of Hysh are now fragmented, pockmarked with craters and scarred by great ravines into which these ancient artefacts fell, and It falls to the Scinari Enlighteners to keep vigil over these discarded weapons and deter the foolhardy bands who attempt to claim them. Casting warding spells, and searing great protective incandescent runes into the land, they endeavour to heal the realm with geomantic energies.
But others also seek to claim these weapons of immense destruction. The Chaos God Tzeentch has demanded that the cult of Arcanites known as the Sons of Quintessence should unearth them from the wastelands and harness their power.Dispatching his disciples to uncover these treasures provides the Changer of the Ways with access to artefacts that can reshape the Mortal Realms and breach causality. Even the mere process of unearthing them damages the work of the Lumineth, picking apart the sacred runes that mend the land, and returning Hysh to its abused state.
In Arcane Cataclysm you can battle through three narrative scenarios set in Iliatha, as the Scinari Enlightener Denezia Warwidow tries to thwart the Sons of Quintessence, led by the Curseling Venestrati – and the consequences of this clash are literally realm-shattering!
This boxed set is also the first place you’ll be able to find the noble Scinari Enlightener and cruel Curseling of Tzeentch ahead of any individual release in the future. Each general is backed by their own formidable force, giving you the choice of splitting the box contents with a friend or bolstering two magical armies of your own.
