After a long hiatus in the far reaches of space, two incredibly popular kill teams – the Elucidian Starstriders and the Gellerpox Infected – are back with new rules in the upcoming Kill Team: Annual 2022.
In the Starstriders’ corner is the wealthy rogue trader Elucia Vhane. She’s no idle noble, and leads her crew from the front with finely honed skills and massively expensive relic equipment.
She’s an especially dangerous duellist, well-suited to the sudden bursts of close combat and point-blank shooting within the Gallowdark’s cramped confines – with a nasty digital laser to even up the harshest odds.
Any Rogue Trader’s most important possession is their Warrant of Trade, and the authority it bestows allows for many benefits. Three times per game, Elucia can choose one of six abilities to use, twisting the early game to her advantage.
Their harrowing experiences fighting the Gellerpox Infected on board the New Dawn in the previous edition of Kill Team have hammered the Elucidian Starstriders into hard-bitten Survivalists, with the determination to press through unspeakable horrors for glory and profit.
Your kill team may not have numbers on their side, but these tightly-knit specialists are harder to put down than they look…
The Gellerpox Infected, on the other hand, are just as tough as they look. They have the might of Nurgle on their side, twisting human flesh and naval technology into lurching Gellerpox Mutants and bloated Nightmare Hulks.
They’re led by Vulgrar Thrice-Cursed, a cybernetic monstrosity who can soak up incredible punishment – and dish it out, too, with the help of his customisable fleshmelded weapons.
Driven by a fanatical need to spread their gruesome Tech Infection, this kill team swarms over vital systems and pumps them full of corrupted scrap-code, even ignoring enemy operatives for the sake of sharing Nurgle’s contaminating grace.
Unlike other operatives, the Mutoid Vermin that gather around the Gellerpox Infected aren’t chosen as part of the kill team roster. Instead, these grotesque pests are purchased as Equipment each game, allowing you to pick from a mutated menagerie.
These critters come in three varieties, and though they’re individually weak, they each possess dangerous abilities – such as the acid-spitting Sludge-grub.
And although they may not be the fastest kill team around, even the ship-shaking Nightmare Hulks can bear down on objectives with surprising speed, Drawn to the Hum of technology ripe for their infections.
These kill teams have plenty that you need to keep track of, and today’s update to Kill Team Command Roster update will make it a cinch. It’s now fully updated with the latest Kill Team releases, a new streamlined interface, automated local saving, and support for your Spec Ops campaigns.
There are new PDF export features for your roster, data cards, and operative dataslates, so you can quickly create a physical copy of your rules – ideal for tucking into your rulebooks and lending a copy of your roster to your opponent.
You can deploy the Elucidian Starstriders and Gellerpox Infected when Kill Team: Annual 2022 arrives for pre-order alongside the huge new Kill Team: Into the Dark boxed set this Saturday.
