Decide the Fate of Necromunda in the Dramatic New Aranthian Succession Campaign Book

The Great Rift spells doom for Necromunda, as a conveyor belt of calamities tear the life out of the hive world one disaster at a time. The descent into chaos begins in The Aranthian Succession: Cinderak Burning – available to pre-order right now – and your gangs will need to gather support to survive in this narrative Succession Campaign.

An assasination attempt on Lord Helmawr, Imperial Governor of Necromunda, has left a deadly power vacuum, while a cooling hive core creates literal power problems throughout the sprawling spire.  As the underhive’s central power begins to fail and the depths of Hive Primus are plunged into chilling darkness, rival gangs rush to seize power and territory in the ensuing chaos.

The Aranthian Succession: Cinderak Burning  is only the first part of a sprawling, world-defining narrative. This first instalment of the Succession Campaign is split into three phases:

1. The Great Darkness: Necromunda’s cooling core plunges the underhive into darkness and disorder, and players must gather what support they can to survive when all contact with their patron Noble House dies.

2. Downtime: Gangs choose their side for the coming turmoil and fight special side battles to eke out the last dregs of power they can muster.

3. Spark of Rebellion: Lady Credo’s rebellion erupts, players must declare their allegiance and fight to claim influence for their faction.

Gangs taking part in the Succession Campaign start with twice as many credits as normal, giving gang leaders powerful equipment and upgrades from the get-go. It’s especially great for experienced players, who can begin a new campaign with a new gang without starting from the very bottom.

Gangs also get a 400-credit budget to spend on vehicles and mounts*, which they’ll need as the action shifts between the underhive and the ash wastes. Blow it all on a tricked-out Cargo-8 Ridgehauler or equip your best fighters with a range of personal rides like the upcoming Goliath Mauler** – the choice is yours.

You won’t just be fighting over physical territory. The allegiance of powerful Sympathisers – from the militant House Greim to shady fallen nobles – can make or break a gang, and with all semblance of Imperial order lost their fidelity is fickle indeed.

Sympathisers can be won and lost across any scenario you’ll play, and Cinderak Burning contains 12 specially designed missions evoking key events from the story. These narrative scenarios can be played by any gang – ranging from parleys gone wrong to brutal one-on-one pit fights – or with specific characters to recreate their historical outcomes.

* You can spend more if you like, but those 400 credits have to be spent on vehicles.
