Hello, Warhammer Community! Are you ready to rock? The Goff Rocker certainly is, and he’s been getting up to some festive hijinks as we charge into the holiday season.
Like all good frontmen the Rocker has a look for every crowd, and now he’s on pre-order we’ve sent him on tour to some top Warhammer community painters.
Enthusiasm for our chart-topping Oddboy was astronomical, as we got far too many back to feature in one go. Instead, we’re handing out awards for categories that we definitely didn’t just make up on the spot. Do you want to know whose Rocker had the snazziest hat? Read on.
Best Threads – Lachlan Basc
Clearly dressed for a gig with his old bandmate the Noise Marine, Lachlan’s Goff Rocker sports a pink jacket almost as loud as he is. Colour-matching a white hat and boots is the icing on the cake, and gives the whole piece a jolly vibe that’s perfect for Christmas.
Best Stage – Jules Gill
Does this one need any explaining? Jules gave his miniature a stature befitting his stardom with a towering custom base covered in lights and speakers. Not only that, he even managed to fit the Goff Rocker’s favourite lyric on the front – how’s that for dedication?
Best Hat – Darcy Bono
Sometimes a modest modification is all it takes to be an award-winner, and Darcy’s wonderfully retro horned hat rose to the top of a hotly contested category. We can only assume it’s one of the Rocker’s originals, sporting the Goff’s checkerboard pattern on his hat band and calling back to the horned helmets worn by classic Orks of yesteryear.
Best Lighting – Chris Frosin
The ominous red emanating from stage right gives Chris’ Goff Rocker a heavy metal look that wouldn’t be out of place on an Ark of Omen. Plus, red and green are the most Christmassy colours there are!
Best Overall – Marko Miladinović (Craftworld Studio)
We couldn’t finish without showing off Marko’s take, which is painted so astonishingly well that we almost picked it for every category. Just look at the non-metallic metal! Look at it! Truly incredible.
If you haven’t got your own Goff Rocker yet, head over and pre-order one now. We definitely want to see what you do with him, so share your progress with #GoffRocker on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages – and sign up to the Warhammer Community newsletter for more Christmas fun throughout the season.
