The Liber Imperium army book is now available in North America, so the time is right for a new Legacies of the Age of Darkness documenting classic Solar Auxilia engines and attachés.
These are free bonus PDFs, bringing rules for units that didn’t get featured in that faction’s supplement – from mighty plastic tanks to beloved resin war machines. Fittingly, Andy Hoare from the Horus Heresy team has some thoughts.
Andy: To accompany the US release of Liber Imperium, we bring you Legacies of the Age of Darkness – Solar Auxilia. This document collates rules for niche or less often-used units, as well as for models which have dropped out of the range – for now, at least.
The rules in this PDF cover Expanded units, and are intended to accompany the Core units found in print. As such, they are subject to potential future revisions. You'll notice we've included rules for the Davinite Lodge Priest* and the Expeditionary Navigator – I'm really looking forward to seeing what conversions and kitbashes the talented Horus Heresy community comes up with to represent these characters!
You can download the Legacies of the Age of Darkness – Solar Auxilia right here.
The Warhammer: The Horus Heresy team have also been busy gathering feedback, and are updating the FAQs and Errata.
Here’s Horus Heresy games developer Ben Webb to explain these new changes.
Ben: V1.1 of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook FAQ and Errata includes updates to clarify the timing of Reactions in the Shooting Phase, including Return Fire, and it also explains which Unit Types can benefit from Shrouded (X) Damage Mitigation rolls.
Additionally, frequently asked questions regarding Surge Moves, the use of the Battlesmith (X) special rule, and Disembarkation of models following the Explodes result on the Vehicle Damage table are addressed.
V1.1 of the Liber Astartes FAQ and Errata adds additional wargear options to the Legion Sabre Strike Squadron and Medusan Immortals Squad unit entries, and clarifies the effect of Coriolis Pattern Power Shields.
It also addresses questions regarding when rules that take place "at the start of the battle" begin to take effect. This version also answers questions regarding how many attacks units like Contemptor Dreadnoughts have when equipped with two melee weapons, and also the inclusion of Retinues and Dedicated Transports as a percentage of the total points value of an army.
V1.1 of the Liber Hereticus FAQ and Errata mirrors the relevant sections of the Liber Astartes document, clarifies Alpharius' Pythian Scales rule, and answers questions regarding access to Psychic Disciplines for Thousand Sons units.
V1.0 of the Liber Imperium FAQ and Errata adds or amends wargear options for the Leman Russ Strike Squadron, Solar Auxilia Malcador Heavy Tank Squadron, and the Clade Vanus Infocyte Assassin. Errors have been corrected in the Wargear entries of the Culexus Assassin, Callidus Assassin, and Custodes Tarsus Buckler, along with the addition of the Melta Cutters Wargear entry.
Thanks to Andy and Ben for those updates! You can download all of the Errata and FAQs for free on the Warhammer Community FAQs page.

* While not formally part of the Solar Auxilia, many Solar Auxilia Cohorts came under the influence of the Davinite Warrior Lodges prior to the outbreak of war – especially those of the Cthonian Headhunters, rules suited to which appear in Liber Imperium.
