The Gloomspite Gitz are scuttling to war! Hordes of grots are pouring out of the dankest caves in the Mortal Realms, bringing along clusters of dimwitted troggoths, scrums of snapping squigs, and, more recently, packs of rabid snarlfangs.
Traditionally, those grots who gaggle around the glow of the Bad Moon exhibit a palpable animosity towards the surface-dwelling Gitmob hordes. As the Era of the Beast dawns, however, a grudging truce has been formed between the tribes of the underworld and the overworld – there are simply too many other gits out there in need of a good shanking.
Back when the grot tribes first parted ways, the Gitmobbers headed for the open plains. Unafraid of the sun’s radiance, they flocked to Hysh – and have menaced the Ten Paradises ever since. Indeed, the wildlife of Hysh is unusually intelligent, so perhaps it was in the Realm of Light that the Gitmobs first formed a partnership with the lupine snarlfangs. These fleabags are vicious, cruel, and have highly toxic saliva, so they don’t make ideal pets, but they are fantastic mounts for a bloody raid.
Snarlfang Riders now prowl alongside the great Gloomspite hordes, looking fearsome in their outdoor gear. When the scrap starts, they get to work with jagged stikkas and crooked bows – you can even decide which weapon each rider’s waving around, and which they’ve got stowed on their back for later!
The new box also lets you swap heads, wolf-tail helmet tassels, and Glareface Frazzlegit-inspired shields freely between riders, and there’s a cracked hunting horn and a git-woven flag made from the dried-out greenery of the plains.
Long-time grot-fans will know that this isn't the first time smaller greenskins have decided it would be smart to climb on the back of a wolf that could snap them up whole.
This proud tradition began on the plains of the World-that-Was, and has survived right through to the Mortal Realms. As much as things may change, you cannot deny a grot his right to live life rashly! Check out this mangy mob of classic canines from a bygone age.
Snarlfangs may be only one minor misunderstanding from turning on their rider, but at least their tenuous partnership brings us a lot of joy. You’ll be able to grab these peculiar greenskins very soon, when they hit pre-order this weekend alongside the new Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz.
