Beasts of Chaos Can Spring an Ambush With Their Entire Army

As the Era of the Beast digs its claws into minds and bodies across the realms, the true children of Chaos sharpen their pitted blades. This savage horde of cloven-hoofed horrors despise order, civilisation, and formal dress codes – and they’re coming to menace a Dawnbringer Crusade near YOU.

These plundering primitivists exercise their right to devolution through ritual combat and bloody sacrifice, but the gor-kin far from mindless savages. They’re such skilled and sneaky hunters that a Beastherd Ambush can conceal a whole army – only revealing themselves at the last possible moment.

A canny Beastlord can forgo deployment entirely, leaving opponents bamboozled until a feral throng lunges from the woods with a tasty charge bonus.* Even your general can hang back for a while – and they’ll still generate a command point each turn while they’re in reserves. A wise choice, with Galletian Sharpshooters afoot.

The great mass of Gors at the heart of every beastherd can make a well-timed ambush even more decisive with a Gor Stampede. When a big enough warband of Gors lands a charge, they’ll stun an unlucky enemy into striking last on a roll of 3+.

Slaangor Fiendbloods join their less fancily-dressed cousins in the new battletome, ready to revel in the waves of primal energy unleashed by Ghur. Not only do their razor-sharp claws sport an extra attack and a spruced-up Damage 2, their Obsessive Violence has become even more intense. Once per game, the Slaangors can fight twice in a single combat phase – ensuring that their victims are utterly torn asunder, but striking last the second time.

Even the humble Ungor Raiders are empowered by the guttural cry echoing from the Realm of Beasts. A Hidden Volley will keep your enemies from getting too comfortable around the battlefield edges – once per game, these goat-faced guerillas get to shoot from reserves, softening up bewildered foes.

You can even set them up in the same turn, meaning they get to shoot again in your shooting phase! Talk about a hail of arrows…
