This week is a feast for fans of Warhammer skirmish games, with huge new releases for both Kill Team and Warcry – including the VERY long-awaited return of the Adeptus Arbites. Elsewhere, jetbikes arrive in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, while a slate of Made to Order classics from the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game round out the week.
Kill Team: Soulshackle
The latest excursion into the malevolent and mysterious space hulk Gallowdark begins in Kill Team: Soulshackle. It finds a crack Exaction Squad of Adeptus Arbites – elite space cops returning to Warhammer 40,000 after an absence of decades – seek out a missing alpha-level psyker in a race against the devious Drukhari Hand of the Archon.
This expansion set includes two full kill teams, an entire board of Gallowdark scenery, plus new terrain elements to add to your games like breachable walls and hatchway barricades. You’ll also get a book full of rules for the two teams, nine new missions making full use of the new terrain, and plenty of exciting background lore.
Wondering how to paint your grizzled Exaction Squad operatives? The Warhammer painting team have pulled together a list of their recommended paints for that dark, serious look.
Dark tones like Black Templar, Basilicanum Grey, Flesh Tearers Red, Leadbelcher, and Wyldwood lay a solid base for details in Russ Grey, Retributor Armour and Rakarth Flesh, with a dash of Agrax Earthshade and Guilliman Flesh to complete the model.
Imperial Navy Breachers Kill Team
As specialists at boarding and clearing voidcraft, the Imperial Navy Breachers are perfectly suited to the corner-to-corner battles of the Gallowdark killzone. This team of 10 operatives is equipped for close-range combat with shotguns, axes, shields, and even a loyal C.A.T. Unit to scout into the shadows.
Kroot Kinband Kill Team
Mercenary Kroot with unparalleled tracking abilities, the Farstalker Kinband are a lightly armoured but brutally effective kill team capable both at range and up close. Their Kroot Hounds are perfect for chasing down injured enemy operatives, while skilled marksmen cover savage melee experts as they move rapidly through the killzone.
Kasrkin Kill Team
Kasrkin are quite possibly the finest (non-genetically-enhanced) human soldiers in the galaxy, coupling eagle-eyed marksmanship with an array of powerful weapons and sturdy armour. Their exclusive Elite rule guarantees that crucial shots land, and special weapons like plasma and meltaguns ensure the enemy will feel them when they do.
Hierotek Circle Kill Team
Necron Crypteks of the Hierotek Circle scour ships for interesting artefacts, protecting themselves behind a wall of Immortals and Deathmarks. This kill team is compact, efficient, and individually powerful, with durable foot soldiers and an assortment of support operatives available to assist their master – and they just keep coming back.

The whole lot can also be fielded among Seraphon armies in Warhammer Age of Sigmar – download their warscroll here.
The Jade Obelisk

They also have a free warscroll for use in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Sky-hunter Squadron

This pack of three Sky-hunters is the first time Scimitar jetbikes have been released in plastic, and it includes options to equip each bike with a heavy bolter, a volkite culverin, a plasma cannon, or a multi-melta.
Forge World is meanwhile releasing MKVI Tactical Squad upgrades for a beloved Loyalist Legion who enjoy righteously immolating their enemies, and for a vile Traitor Legion who also love incinerating their enemies – but in a bad, daemonic way.
Salamanders MKVI Heads
Even while the Horus Heresy was dragon on, the Salamanders kept fighting the good fight. Tooled up in fancy Mark VI armour, they embellish their sleek look with draconic helms and fiery markings. This set of 11 resin heads also includes one bare head, and one plumed head fit for a leader.
Salamanders MKVI Shoulder Pads
Show off the artisanship of the XVIII Legion with this set of 10 resin shoulder pads which feature their drake’s head emblem and an elegantly sculpted trim.
Word Bearers MKVI Heads
One look at these Word Bearers heads, and you have to wonder who they thought they were kidding, even as Loyalists. This set of 11 resin heads includes nine helmets carved with the runes of Colchis, one bare head, and one utterly cursed daemonic helm.
Word Bearers MKVI Shoulder Pads
Add yet more runes of ill portent to your Word Bearers with a set of 10 resin shoulder pads. These also feature the Legion emblem – the book and burning flame of truth, which is totally normal heraldry that shouldn’t raise any questions.
