If you're looking for a good excuse to visit Warhammer World, this might just be it.
The home of all things Warhammer has its Open Day coming soon – and they have just announced that this year, entry is free!
On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of March, fans will congregate at the heart of the hobby to take part in the epic Legends of Paint competition, Mega-gargant Football (as awesome as it sounds), and much more. You can also buy a ticket for the endlessly creative Hobby Challenge.
Entrance to the Warhammer World hall will be free*, though you’ll need to book a time slot as the venue will be packed to the brim with like-minded Warhammer hobbyists. You can book your slot – and buy tickets for the Hobby Challenge – right here.
As well as Mega-Gargant football, attendees can look forward to a wild 10-player Kill Team expedition into the sinister Gallowdark, racing action with the chariots of Warhammer Age of Sigmar or the Ork Speed Freeks of the 41st Millennium, terrain painting workshops, and demonstrations for every current Warhammer game. If you need a break from it all, we won’t blame you – Bugman’s Bar & Kitchen is on-site for your energy-refilling needs.
Fancy showing off your painting chops and winning a coveted bronze, silver, or gold pin for your skills? Legends of Paint invites you to submit your single best Hero or Character model for judging. This competition is open to painters of all types and skill levels, and every entry will be scrutinised by the discerning eyes of our expert panel.
Meanwhile, Hobby Challenge ticket holders gain access to the Open Day for the entire eight hours, which should give them plenty of time to tackle our legendary sprue mountain and craft their very own Warhammer World project on-site. Scavenge the coolest bits for your masterpiece, then make use of the Citadel Colour range to turn it into a true work of art you can take home at the end. We’ll even award a prize to our favourite!
Did we mention there’ll be some brand new models shown off for the first time? If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be one of the first in the world to see the hottest upcoming miniatures in the flesh (or plastic), this is the event for you.
Book your time slots and tickets now, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Warhammer World events team at whworldevents@gwplc.com
