Pious Heroes and Deluded Cannibals Come to Blows Over Mismatching Chivalric Codes in Warcry

The verdant nightmare realm of the Gnarlwood is a locus of carnage and chaos, where warbands battle to the death over the spoils of a crashed Seraphon temple-ship. But not everyone who enters this deadly forest does so for treasure. Some fight instead for honour and destiny – whether driven by divine prophecy or supernatural mania.

Two warbands with very different opinions on virtue and hygiene set foot into the Gnarlwood in Warcry: Nightmare Quest, the next expansion for Warcry. This box contains everything you need to embark on expeditions with the Questor Soulsworn or the Royal Beastflayers.

Fest Warcry Box

The Questor Soulsworn are unique among the Stormcast Eternals. Existing outside the traditional chamber structure, each Soulsworn is selected by Sigmar himself to join the ranks of the Questors, giving them a chance to flex their muscles and express their heroic virtues to the fullest in the most dangerous missions.

These puissant paladins are usually solo agents, wandering the realms to carry out the God-King’s will according to visions and omens. On occasion, however, they will gather as a warband to undertake a particularly perilous task – such as cutting to the heart of the Ravening Ruin to keep the secrets of Talaxis from falling into the wrong hands.

These gallant warriors must contend with the Royal Beastflayers. These coteries of cannibal courtiers act as gameskeepers for their vampiric kings, stalking terrible beasts – or innocent bystanders, but who’s counting – that threaten their noble kingdom. Employing grotesque Offal Hounds to track their supposed quarry, they return in glory with bloody pelts and trophies.

This particular warband are out to wreck the Realmshaper Engines of the Gnarlwood, believing them to be nests of horrid draconic magic – and will unleash a geomantic catastrophe if they succeed.

This new box includes a stack of Ghurish terrain, including an overgrown and mysterious Realmshaper Engine from the Eye of Chotec, which can sunder the ground at the command of anyone who controls it.

Nightmare Hunt also contains Might and Madness, a packed warband tome that details all the background information and rules for both warbands and includes quests that your single-minded zealots – both golden and grizzly – can undertake.

Both factions will find themselves in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar before long, with warscrolls of their own. More carnage meanwhile awaits in Warcry – valiant cartographers have risked life and limb to provide us with a roadmap of what you can expect in the future.
