The end draws near on this season of Warcry. Our intrepid – or insane – warbands are closing in on the true prize that lies at the heart of the Gnarlwood: the Realmshaper Engines once attached to a fallen Seraphon temple-ship. Battle is at hand!
Warcry: Nightmare Quest
The full to bursting final box in the Gnarlwood saga comes to a fitting close in Nightmare Quest, a huge new expansion set for Warcry containing two equally, if very differently, mighty warbands in the shape of the Questor Soulsworn and the Royal Beastflayers.
In total, Warcry: Nightmare Quest contains 16 miniatures – 10 vicious ghouls and six mighty Stormcast Eternals. These two warbands will battle across some of the most fabulous Warcry terrain yet – a vast ziggurat Realmshaper Engine. This focal piece joins two Gnarloaks, two rope bridges, and five assorted obstacles. Put all of this together with the terrain from the other sets from this season and you’ll have an enormous Gnarlwood battlefield for your games of Warcry and Warhammer Age of Sigmar!
On top of all that, you also get a 64-page Warband Tome: Might and Madness, containing all the rules for running campaigns with both warbands and more scenarios to use your fancy new terrain. Then there’s a double-sided game board, 30 battleplan cards, 12 fighter cards, two warband abilities cards, and three divider cards.
Warcry: Askurgan Trueblades
These are the most curious of vampires: ascetics who prefer to master their unnatural hungers by not slaking them. Dedicating themselves instead to martial excellence and self-denial, the Askurgan Trueblades live as monks – accompanied by those of their order who have fallen to savagery and madness. This set contains eight miniatures and 17 cards, including fighter cards, warband ability cards, and divider cards.
Warcry: Claws of Karanak
The frenzied Khornate warriors of the Claws of Karanak, on the other hand, feel no such compunction towards self-denial. This band of frothing degenerates worship Flesh Hounds, and seek to emulate their daemonic patrons with horrifying displays of slaughter. This box contains eight miniatures and 16 cards, including fighter cards, warband ability cards, and divider cards.
