It’s been an exciting time for Warhammer 40,000. Painters from around the Warhammer Community have shared their Space Marines and Tyranids, while staff from this very site have got in on the action with their own Angels of Death and swarms of biomorphs.
Our hard-working Social Media servitors have been collecting images from the masses over on the official Warhammer Twitter and Facebook pages, and have presented a selection of the best.
Sternguard Veterans are long-serving warriors with centuries of service. Those of the Dark Angels and Blood Angels are well known for adding a little haute couture to their ceramite armour. Twitter user @pixel_maskQRay has painted two immaculate versions, looking mighty fine in their ostentatious tabards.
They also took their brush to the Phobos Lieutenant, a miniature which already oozes character elevated by subtle weathering and unique company markings.
Over on the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page, Arawn Nicholson caught the ocular attention of our Social Media team with an immaculate purple Terminator with a wonderfully contrasting hazard-striped power fist, that really shows off the new design.
The Ballistus Dreadnought is the successor to the classic ranged attack loadout of the old Castraferrum pattern dreadnoughts. Rob Medwell’s Imperial Fists Dreadnought is battle-damaged, befitting the grizzled veteran that it is.
Finally, William Strange’s desaturated take on the Ultramarines Chapter colours makes for a truly hulking Space Marine.
Thanks to everyone. If you want to get involved with Warhammer 40,000, a range of new starter sets are on their way very soon – or you might even be lucky enough to find one of the last available copies of Leviathan at your local Warhammer store or independent stockist.
