Warcry is a fast-paced game of skirmish combat set in the Mortal Realms, where wandering warbands clash for greed and glory. Warriors from all across the realms are currently ripping it up in Ghur’s Gnarlwood, but a little ghoul has told us that people who want to get started with Warcry should head over to Shyish for a taste of the action.
Warcry: Crypt of Blood Starter Set
Get everything you need to begin playing this exciting game of blood-soaked skirmish battles with the Warcry: Crypt of Blood Starter Set. This box contains two slimline warbands of push-fit champions cast in coloured plastic – the supercilious Soulblight bloodsuckers known as the Crimson Court, and the pious Stormcast heroes of Xandire’s Truthseekers.
These two warbands are primed to do battle in the tomb of a legendary vampire, represented by a two-sided game mat and some spooky new plastic terrain, in order to secure the treasures of the Crypt Noctis. You can take part in their quests with the 72-page Crypt of Blood starter book, which contains the core rules for Warcry alongside missions for this set. There are fighter and ability cards for the two warbands, 18 dice, and a cardboard token board that includes a punch-out range ruler.
Warcry: Questor Soulsworn
The Questor Soulsworn are amongst the most capable warriors of all Sigmar’s Stormcast Eternals, sent out on dangerous odysseys across the length and breadth of the Mortal Realms. Numbering six elite warriors, this heroic warband builds six Errant-Questors with loads of different two-handed weapons – two of these fighters can alternatively be built as a Questor-Prime, two as a Soulsworn Knight-Relictor, and two as an Errant Questor-Duellist with Twinblades.
However they’re armed, these versatile Stormcast are easily the match for the most abhorrent foes, fighting in near-perfect lockstep with countless years of experience.
Warcry: Royal Beastflayers
The Flesh-Eater Courts are enthralled by potent delusions, gore-slick ghouls living in fantasies of nobility and wealth. The Royal Beastflayers are the gameskeepers and huntsmen of their vampiric kings, riding out into the Gnarlwood to slay vile monsters… assuming they can tell them apart from innocent bystanders. They’re led by a Royal Flaymaster, an experienced veteran of these morbid hunts, and include a Beastflayer Baron, Ghoul Gore-Squires, and Ghoul Trackers, with bestial Offal Hounds in tow – each hungry for flesh and bones to feast upon.
