Saturday Pre-orders – Praise Sigmar!

Onward, Sigmarite soldier! The revamped, reforged, and revitalised Cities of Sigmar have opened the gates and set forth upon an epic crusade to retake the Mortal Realms in the name of the God-king. These mere mortals stand up to orruks, undead, and daemons in their quest to resettle lands lost to Death, Destruction, and Chaos, using little more than swords, shields, faith in the righteousness of the divine, rippling volleys of black powder, azyrite sorcery, the crushing hooves of heavy cavalry, hulking ogors, booming cannonfire, and the undulating sting of a manitcore’s tail.

Cities of Sigmar Army Box

When the men and women on the Mortal Realms go to war, they do it in style and at volume. This bursting-at-the-seams army box is the perfect vanguard for the full force, a redoubtable platoon of brave men and cold steel.

GW PreOrders Aug26 AoS 01 CitiesBox

This is the first place you can acquire Battletome: Cities of Sigmar, the new 160-page army book detailing every facet of the many mortal cities across the realms that venerate Sigmar and the pantheon of Order. This edition contains all the rules and background you need to run armies of all sizes, and comes with a special cover you won’t be able to get anywhere else.

It’s accompanied by an exclusive set of 52 Warscroll cards (plus 30 cardboard tokens) which won’t be sold separately. These detail every unit the army can field, encompassing the new humans as well as many existing aelven and duardin kits. On top of that, there are 45 Enhancement Cards covering orders, spells, prayers, command abilities, and artefacts, which are also exclusive to this set, and four Cities of Sigmar transfer sheets.

As for models, you get 20 stalwart Freeguild Steelhelms – brave men and women putting their lives on the line to reclaim lost lands for God-king and country – and five Freeguild Cavaliers, who proudly batter all-comers under the trampling hooves of their mighty mounts. Both sets are exquisitely customisable with many combinations of heads, bodies, and mounts to ensure no two are ever alike.

They are joined by a Freeguild Marshal, a Relic Envoy, and an Alchemite Warforger. The first of these is a grizzled commander with an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, attended by a loyal equerry bearing a sacred relic. They are joined by the Warforger, a  Wizard of the Lore of Metal whose glittering spells bolster your allies and beset your foes.

Vanguard: Seraphon

GW PreOrders Aug26 AoS 04 SeraphonVanguard

The Geomantic Web waxes with power as the forces of Order enjoy a resurgence, and the Cities of Sigmar are bolstered by their Seraphon allies. Following hot on the heels of the Seraphon Army Box, this Vanguard contains a mighty mix of 14 models. Chief among them is the Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur, a versatile monster-riding Lord choice who can also be built as a Saurus Scar-veteran, or as a Skink Oracle on a Trogladon. They are joined by three cantankerous Kroxigor, new models that may also be built as Kroxigor Warspawned, and 10 punchy new Saurus Warriors.
