There are many more brilliant official Warhammer events to come this year, including some winter clashes at Warhammer World in Nottingham, and the third event in the US Open Series in Tampa, FL.
US Open Series Tampa 13th – 15th October
The epic third US Open event of the year is coming up in October – in the form of the Tampa Open in Florida. It runs between the 13th and 15th of October, and there are a few tickets left for the headline Warhammer Age Of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 tournaments.
On top of one of the year’s biggest Warhammer 40,000 tournaments, with nearly 400 players already registered, the Tampa Open features dozens of other events. There are Grand Tournaments for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Warhammer Underworlds, plus events for Blood Bowl, Warhammer 40,000 Crusade, and more. Open Gaming tickets also give you the chance to play games of your choosing with like-minded fans, and you can still get tickets for a range of hobby classes.
Warhammer World Events
The Warhammer World team are always coming up with new ideas for their events, and for December they’ve made a revisions to the Throne of Skulls format. These are casual matched play events, designed to reward enthusiastic gamers with great looking armies who display a healthy helping of sportsmanship.
From now on, each event will have a special rule to differentiate them from more competitive matched play events. First up is the Rule of One, which debuts at the Warhammer 40,000 Throne of Skulls event in December. With this rule in effect, players can only pick one of each datasheet when building their armies – not the usual three.
There’s no doubling or tripling down on your favourite tools here – you’ll need to make use of your army’s full repertoire to succeed here. This 1,500-point event will take place over two days, and entrants will need to play five games to determine who gets to sit atop the throne.
Descend below the Colleges of Magic and battle it out in a single day Dungeon Bowl tournament designed for new players, veterans, and people who just want to show off their hobby and gaming skills. You’ll duke it out across three games, doing your best to score the most Dungeon Points, earn that coveted Favourite Game vote, and perhaps even triumph in the Painting Competition!
Further details for all of these events will be available on our Eventbrite page, and tickets will go on sale on Monday the 4th of September.
