Golden Demon is back, and 2024 is set to be the biggest year yet for the world’s most prestigious miniature painting competition. Expert painters, amateur artists, and everyone in between will be coming together for another incredible celebration of the Warhammer hobby, and today we’ve got the first details you’ll need to prepare your entry.
We’re glad to announce that once again the first leg will take place at AdeptiCon from the 20th of March next year. That gives you a clean six months to whip up some new ideas and put paintbrush to plastic – plenty of time to refill your paint stocks and find your Warhammer muse.
If you’re planning to enter your latest, greatest project, there’s some even more important news: new categories are being added for 2024. A few old ones have been condensed to make room – we’ve put Large Models and Vehicles together, for instance – but now fans of Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, and Legions Imperialis will all have their own arenas to compete in.
If you’re still wondering whether Golden Demon is for you, allow us to sum up the entire incredible experience in one short video. It’s much more than just a painting contest, after all – it’s a full-on celebration of the entire Warhammer community.
Even if you’ve never entered a Golden Demon event before, 2024 is the perfect time to start. The revitalised Citadel Colour website is packed full of guides on getting started from your very first miniatures, and even veteran painters can find plenty of handy tools for taking their models to the next level.
Stay tuned to Warhammer Community to hear the latest Golden Demon news as it comes in – and use the #paintingwarhammer hashtag to keep us up to date with the progress on your entry.
