With eight realms to cover, there’s always something exciting (or more often terrifying) happening in the world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and this week is no exception as the Mortal Realms take centre stage.
Warhammer Underworlds: Deathgorge
The icy tunnels of Deathgorge contain untold treasures frozen within their walls. Warhammer Underworlds, the ultimate competitive miniatures game, lands in the frozen continent of Bjarl with this new boxed set stuffed with everything you need to start playing, including two complete warbands.
These two rival groups are the Thricefold Discord – a trio of bickering Slaaneshi daemons – and a group of Idoneth Deepkin explorers known as Cyreni’s Razors.*
Warhammer Underworlds: Starter Set
This version of the Warhammer Underworlds Starter Set is available exclusively through selected retailers in North America and Germany. It includes a brand-new scenario to play through, dice and accessories, as well as two full warbands of miniatures – the Stormcast Eternals of Ironsoul's Condemnors and the shambling skeletons of the Sepulchral Guard.
Warcry: Hunter and Hunted
The latest Warcry expansion arrives with two new warbands – the ogors of the Gorger Mawpack, and the battle-hardened human trackers of the Wildercorps Hunters. You will also receive a book full of rules and missions, as well as new Mawpit terrain.
Warcry: Ravaged Lands – Scales of Talaxis
This new battlefield expansion is stuffed to the brim with incredible Warcry terrain pieces to personalise your skirmish battles and add another dimension to games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Inside you’ll find 17 pieces of plastic scenery, a double-sided 22" x 30" gaming board, 12 terrain cards, and a sheet of cardboard markers and tokens.
Warcry: Kruleboyz Monsta-Killaz and Vulkyn Flameseekers
Also venturing into the Realm of Beasts this week are two new standalone warbands to heat up your games of Warcry. The Monsta-Killaz are, unsurprisingly, a sadistic gaggle of beast-bothering orruk Kruleboyz, while the Vulkyn Flameseekers are hot-tempered duardin fanatics of the Fyreslayers variety. Both warbands include a set of Warcry fighter and warband ability cards, so you can put them to use straight away.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar Warbands
Another slew of previous Warhammer Underworlds warbands are being re-released specifically for games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. You’ll find all the warbands from Harrowdeep and Nethermaze – among the returning faces are Da Kunnin’ Krew, Xandire’s Truthseekers, The Exiled Dead, Blackpowder’s Buccaneers, Hexbane’s Hunters, plus many more.
The miniatures included are exactly the same as their Warhammer Underworlds counterparts, but omit the deck of cards and are cast in standard grey plastic.*
White Dwarf 493
The new issue of the ultimate Warhammer magazine is packed with all the usual hobby goodness you know and love. There’s more from the Bunker – the biggest gaming club in the world – as well as new rules and scenarios for all sorts of game systems, and the cover is adorned with artwork featuring a hulking Tyranid horror. The magazine is available to pre-order from the Games Workshop webstore right now.
