This week’s Black Library pre-orders are all about Warhammer 40,000, with three books featuring tales of heroism, chaos, and weird Adeptus Mechanicus undertakings. Nice and simple, would be a shame if someone were to drop a collection featuring a deep and troubling web of interlinked stories into the mix. Oh. Oh no.
The Dark Coil Collection (Limited Edition Boxed Set)
The Dark Coil Collection brings together nine stories and two novels by Peter Fehervari which share an entangled narrative, all in a single release. With links between characters and places that are often bold and sometimes esoteric, this collection serves as a great way of getting the bulk of this sprawling narrative on your shelf.
This limited edition boxed set is limited to 1,000 signed and uniquely numbered copies, with each book featuring a spiral-motif cover, and slot into a hard slipcase. The nine stories in the anthology As Without, So Within are Nightfall, Fire and Ice, The Crown of Thorns, The Walker in Fire, The Greater Evil, The Thirteenth Psalm, Aria Arcana, Nightbleed and The Sins of My Brothers, and the books are The Reverie and Requiem Infernal. Pre-order it now, and immerse yourself in this tightly wound slice of Warhammer 40,000.
The Fall of Cadia
The destruction of the fortress world Cadia was an inflection point in the narrative of Warhammer 40,000, and a colossal victory for Abaddon the Despoiler. Robert Rath’s The Fall of Cadia tells this story like never before, touching on the perspective of everyone from rank-and-file foot soldiers to those orchestrating the defence in high command. It is now available to pre-order in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.
Angron: The Red Angel
Once leader of the World Eaters, and now the Daemon Primarch of Khorne, Angron has returned to the galaxy, all blood and fury, and not even the most loyal amongst his Legion are safe from his wrath. As he tears through Imperial forces, an ancient plan is set in motion to defeat this living catastrophe, but will it be enough? Find out in David Guymer’s Angron: The Red Angel, which can now be pre-ordered in paperback format.
Forges of Mars
The Adeptus Mechanicus are among the most curious and secretive factions in Warhammer 40,000, ruled by pious worshippers who care for only two things – venerating the Omnissiah in all his glory, and amassing power by hunting for archeotech from the Dark Age of Technology. Graham McNeill has written extensively about these despotic cyborgs, and Forges of Mars collects the Mars trilogy – priests of Mars, Lords of Mars, and Gods of Mars, alongside the short story Zero Day Exploit. You can pre-order it today in paperback and eBook formats.
Everything above can be pre-ordered now on the Games Workshop web store, and is on a two-week pre-order.
