It’s Warhammer Day! If you’ve not checked out today’s amazing preview reveals then head on over to the hub page to check them out. Otherwise, read on for all of today’s awesome releases that are going on preorder.
Dreadnoughts and MkIII armour come to the Age of Darkness this week, while we continue to celebrate 40 years of Warhammer with the latest Commemorative Series miniature and a rerelease of the classic Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader rulebook. And for skirmish game fans, there’s a new case to safely store your units in.
Legiones Astartes Battle Group
Deploy a powerful force of 30 MkIII Space Marines, a Deredeo Dreadnought, and a Land Raider Proteus with the Legiones Astartes Battle Group. It’s the best way to add today’s new releases to your existing Warhammer: The Horus Heresy army, and a great starting point on which to build a new force.
This set also includes one Legiones Astartes special weapons frame, packed with a wide variety of weapons to turn your Tactical Squads into Legion Support Squads. It will only be available while stocks last.
Deredeo Dreadnought – Anvilus Configuration
While most Dreadnoughts can be equipped with melee weapons to smash up enemies in close combat, the Deredeo is built as a fire support platform mounting a heavy arsenal of ranged weapons. This new multi-part plastic kit contains options for a pair of infantry-shredding Anvilus autocannon batteries or armour-rending Hellfire plasma carronades, which combined with the top-mounted Aiolos missile launcher presents an almighty threat to anything that walks, drives, or flies.
MkIII Tactical Squad
The MkIII ‘Iron’ armour was an advancement of the earlier MkII ‘Crusade’ pattern that saw action at the start of the Great Crusade, designed to withstand frontal assaults and grinding attritional warfare both on land and in vicious boarding actions among the stars. It came to be widespread throughout the Horus Heresy, especially as its successors required far greater resources and technology to produce, and is particularly favoured by legions like the Iron Warriors, Salamanders, and Death Guard who prize durability over all else.
This kit contains 20 multi-part Tactical Marines with options for two squad Sergeants – each able to equip a power sword, power fist, lightning claw, and plasma pistol. It also includes a sheet of 293 transfers for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions, and can be fielded either as a single 20-man squad or two 10-man squads.
Exemplary Battles of the Age of Darkness: Volume I
Delve into the history of the Horus Heresy’s most exciting conflicts in Exemplary Battles of the Age of Darkness: Volume I – a 112-page supplement covering five extraordinary battles with rules to recreate them. Four of these missions are newly updated for the new edition of the game, while the fifth is entirely new, and each contains rules for a notable unit that fought in the original conflict.
In addition, expanded rules for the Emperor’s Children Traitor Legion bring the champions of excess into the latter stages of the Horus Heresy, including full rules for the astonishingly beautiful Fulgrim Transfigured miniature revealed at the NOVA Open. This invaluable companion to the Age of Darkness is available to pre-order in both a physical hardback and digital ePub edition.
The Ancestors’ Wrath
The Leagues of Votann are the newest faction to join Warhammer 40,000, and so are the perfect subject for our latest Commemorative Series miniature – The Ancestors’ Wrath. This spectacular Einhyr Champion is tremendously sturdy, and is an excellent addition to any Warhammer collection. Please note that this model will only be available until 8am GMT on Monday the 6th of November.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Print on Demand
Take a trip down memory lane to the game that started the 41st Millennium phenomenon with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, now available on a Made to Order basis for a limited time. This awesome reproduction of the original rulebook is normally kept solely within the walls of the Warhammer World store here in Nottingham, but now our worldwide fans can get their own piece of Warhammer history shipped right to them.
This hardback book is available to order strictly until 8am GMT on Monday the 6th of November, and as with all Print on Demand releases, may take up to 6 months to arrive.
Stormvault Skirmish Case
Get your Necromunda gangs, Warcry warbands, kill teams and more from your home to the battlefield with the Stormvault Skirmish Case – a new innovation in miniatures transportation. Instead of the usual foam, this durable case uses silicon bristles to hold your precious models in place, no matter how thin or pointy their parts may be.
This case is sized to fit miniatures on 25mm to 40mm bases, and has rubber backing on both sides so there’s no fear of it sliding off a table.
All of these releases are available to pre-order now at the Games Workshop webstore.
