The floodgates open for Legions Imperialis this week, including a launch box packed with new miniatures for the Legiones Astartes and the Solar Auxilia, plus boxes of reinforcement, gaming accessories, and more. Unfortunately, every Legions Imperialis product is slightly delayed in Australia and New Zealand.
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis
Get stuck right into this game of battles at epic scale with the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy Legions Imperialis box set. It contains 223 plastic miniatures (61 units) split between the Legiones Astartes and the Solar Auxilia, plus two Warhound Titans, a 240-page hardback rulebook featuring background, core rules, missions, unit profiles, and points. There’s a token sheet for your order tokens and objective markers, two quick reference sheets, and a transfer sheet with 556 decals.
This bundle of miniatures includes infantry, walkers, Dreadnoughts, tanks, and Titans, making it a perfect starting point for any Legions Imperialis collection. The Warhound Titans also come with a new weapons frame, which includes plastic weapon options such as Ursus claws and the Incisor pattern melta lance for the first time.

The core box contains the rulebook, but you can get solo copies in either hardback or ePub format – ideal if you prefer to build your collection at a slower pace.
Legiones Astartes Infantry
Every army needs a core of infantry to secure tactical objectives. The Legiones Astartes Infantry are fearsome ceramite-armoured supersoldiers who can dish out as much punishment as they can take. This box contains 106 miniatures that may be built as follows – two Legion Command, eight Tactical Legionaries, two Legion Terminators, two Assault Marines, two Support Legionaries with Plasma Guns, two Support Legionaries with Missile Launchers, and four Contemptor Dreadnoughts – two with twin-linked lascannons and two with Kheres pattern assault cannons.
Rhino Transport Detachment
Even the most formidable infantry in the galaxy struggle to survive in the open during the cataclysmic battles of Legions Imperialis, so you’ll want to shuttle them up-field in some trusty armoured Rhinos. This Rhino Transport Detachment contains 10 armoured personnel carriers for ferrying your Space Marines around in and a Legiones Astartes Vehicle transfer sheet with 1,130 decals.
Kratos Heavy Tank Squadron
The Kratos Heavy Assault Tank made its Horus Heresy debut last year, and they’re all fuelled up and ready to roll out in Legions Imperialis. This impressively detailed Kratos Heavy Tank Squadron kit builds four tanks with a choice of weapon options, enabling you to tailor their load-outs to make them better at eliminating heavy or light targets. The set also comes with a Legiones Astartes Vehicle transfer sheet
Thunderhawk Gunship
The Thunderhawk Gunship has been reboxed with a new base, in order to rapidly deploy key units on the battlefield and provide a potent aerial threat with its prodigious complement of weapons. You’ll also be able to use these aircraft in games of Aeronautica Imperialis, which will be supported as a game system set in the Age of Darkness.
Legiones Astartes Army Cards
Muster your Space Marine forces and keep track of them in battle with these Legiones Astartes Army Cards. This pack contains 46 cards – two of each of the 19 Legiones Astartes unit datasheets and two of each of the four Legiones Astartes Formation cards.
Solar Auxilia Infantry
The Solar Auxilia are the best of the Imperial Armies, elite soldiers with top-tier equipment. The Solar Auxilia Infantry box contains 104 individual miniatures, which make 26 models. That’s two Solar Auxilia Legate Commanders or Auxilia Tactical Commands, eight Auxiliaries, four Auxiliaries with Flamers, four Veletarii, four Charonite Ogryns, and four Aethon Heavy Sentinels.
Baneblade Squadron
The Baneblade is simultaneously a rolling fortress and an anti-armour mainstay that sports additional weaponry to shred infantry. The Baneblade Squadron box contains two, terrifying symbols of the Imperium’s power that can be built with a range of weapon options. It comes with a Solar Auxilia vehicle transfer sheet with 288 decals.
Solar Auxilia Air Support
Protect your forces from aerial assault with some ace aircraft of your own. The Lightning Fighter, Marauder Bomber, and Marauder Destroyer are all returning in plastic, and the Marauder Colossus – which can also be built as a Marauder Pathfinder – is returning in Forge World resin. They all come packaged with the appropriate Legions Imperialis flying bases and, like the Thunderhawk, can all be used in games of Aeronautica Imperialis as well!
Solar Auxilia Army Cards
This pack of Solar Auxilia Army Cards contains 38 cards for use in your games – two each of the 16 different Solar Auxilia unit datasheets and two each of the three different Solar Auxilia Formation cards.
Imperial Titans and Knights
Both sides can call on the towering god engines of the Titan Legions and the slightly smaller but no less formidable Knight Households. The Warlord Titan with Power Claw and Plasma Annihilator, Warlord Titan with Volcano Cannon and Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Reaver Titan with Power Fist and Gatling Blaster, Reaver Titan with Melta Cannon and Chainfist, Cerastus Knights Lancer and Questoris Knights with Thunderstrike Gauntlets and Rocket Pods are all returning in plastic with new textured Legions Imperialis bases and transfer sheets.
The Armiger Knights Helverins and Warglaives, Mechancium Knights Moriax, Mechanicum Questoris Knights Magaera, Mechanicum Questoris Knights Styrix, Mechanicum Cerastus Knights Atrapos, Mechanicum Acastus Knights Asterius, and the terrifying Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan all come in Forge World resin or a combination of resin and plastic, and they have all been repacked with new textured Legions Imperialis bases.
These kits also come with command terminals and weapon cards for Adeptus Titanicus where required.
Civitas Imperialis Roads
As the scale of battles increases in Legions Imperialis, so too does the scale of the terrain available. Containing two sets of three different road tile designs: straight road tiles, T-junction road tiles, and crossroad tiles, the Civitas Imperialis Roads kit lets you add the foundation for city areas to your battlefield, while multiple packs provide the basis for a sprawling metropolis.
Civitas Imperialis Ruins
This highly modular Civitas Imperialis Ruins set contains 38 pieces of ruined terrain and debris that can be built in a variety of ways, including 15 larger pieces of obscuring terrain, three structures, two obstacles, and 18 pieces of rugged terrain.
Civitas Imperialis Administratum Sector
Add buildings to your battlefield with the Civitas Imperialis Administratum Sector, which collects four sets of Civitas Imperialis buildings and one set of Civitas Imperialis Spires to provide a massive 16 modular terrain pieces.
Legions Imperialis Bases
If you want to rebase your Aeronautica Imperialis or Adeptus Titanicus collections for this new game, there are seven different sets of urban battlefield:.4x40mm round bases, 4x40mm round flying stand bases, 4x50mm round bases, 2x60mm round bases, 2x80mm round bases, 1x105mm Oval Base, and 1x 120mm oval base.
