The Edict of Nikaea may have outlawed the use of psychic powers for the Space Marine Legions, but when the Horus Heresy kicked off, plenty of Librarian Consuls on both sides went right back to flinging bolts of eldritch energy – and the White Scars never even bothered to stop their Stormseers from summoning great storms to hinder enemy manoeuvres.
There were plenty of other notable breaches of the Edict, but no Legion remained as devoted to the esoteric arts as the Thousand Sons – which is why they’re getting their very own Librarian Consul for the Horus Heresy.
Wearing ornate armour that reflects the heritage of Prospero – all winged scarabs, curved trim, and fluttering parchment – the Thousand Sons Librarian Consul is an adept of one of the many Cult temples, and a master of the Prosperine arcana. A virtuoso of psychic power, he can immolate enemies with a thought, or tap into the flow of time to subvert the course of destiny.
Armed with a fearsome force staff tipped with an elegantly violent array of blades, this learned scholar is a master combatant in more than the mental arena. Librarians are entirely capable of throwing down in a physical fight, which is pretty handy when the Champions of more… conservative Legions are looking to stem the empyrean flow by severing a few psychic heads.
This Thousand Sons Librarian Consul is cast in Forge World resin, and comes with a choice of bare or helmeted head. Our very limited psychic abilities only extend to predicting that you will be able to pre-order it soon.
