With Warhammer: The Old World now released, this glorious game of regimented battle lines clashing in the World of Legend has entered the rotation of events at Warhammer World. Today, we can reveal all of the tournaments and events that are coming up in May of this year.
Last week we also announced that Games Workshop has stepped up to run the International Tournament Circuit (ITC) – big news for everyone who plays at Warhammer events.
Create an alliance of Good or Evil, and fight alongside a friend at Warhammer World in the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Doubles event. During this weekend-long event, you’ll pair off against like-minded duos across five thrilling games. You will battle not only for honour and glory but also for the chance of being crowned as a winner in the painting competition. This event takes place over the weekend of the 25th and 26th of May.
Warhammer: The Old World is back, and with it comes fraught battles of ranked troops and roaring monsters. This is the first Warhammer: The Old World Matched Play event at Warhammer World, and it’s your chance to prove your tactical prowess across five games. There are also awards for Best General, Favourite Army, Best Painted Army, and Favourite Opponent up for grabs. Please note that legacy armies will not be permitted. This event takes place over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of April.
Muster a 1,500-point army filled with infantry, heavy armour, flyers, and god-engines for three games of Legions Imperialis in one day at this snappy weekday Warhammer event. It’s all the fun of a two-day tournament condensed down into a single action-packed day. There are also awards for the top three winners, best painters, and the most sporting player. This event takes place on Wednesday the 8th of May.
Demonstrate your mastery of rank-and-flank combat at an exciting single-day tournament where you’ll play three 1,250-point games of Warhammer: The Old World. This smaller-scale tournament is great for new players and veterans alike, and you can earn awards for winning games, having the best painted army, and being the most sporting opponent. This event takes place on Wednesday the 15th of May.
Hit the gridiron for a one-day sevens tournament. Draft a Blood Bowl team with 600,000 copper pieces and play four games, with awards for premier painting too. Blitzing Sevens events will be added to the rotation of regular events this year, so check out the Eventbrite page for a regular dose of crushing blocks and unbelievable touchdowns. The first event will take place on Friday the 23rd of February.
