Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion
The monstrous being known as the Lord of Masques, the Sombre Paladin, or simply the Summerking is none other than Ushoran – Mortarch of Delusion, and the source of the Flesh-eater Courts’ madness. He towers above his servants, smashing enemies with his giant mace and a raw bestial fury found nowhere else among the armies of Nagash.
This epic miniature is the perfect centrepiece to a Flesh-eater Courts army, and a beautiful hobby project to build and paint.
Fangs of the Blood Queen
The dreaded emissary of Neferata joins Ushoran to offer counsel and pledge nominal cooperation between the two Mortarchs. That Sekhar is as natural a schemer as her mistress is not lost on the Summerking, but her prowess in combat and hypnotic powers make her too useful to cast aside.
The Fangs of the Blood Queen is the first chance to get Sekhar and her serpentine thrall Ouboroth. She’s joined in battle by 10 Dire Wolves and three Fell Bats, forming a quick and vicious attack force.
Grand Justice Gormayne
Without the strictures of crime and punishment, are we not simply beasts who play at being human? Grand Justice Gormayne is only too happy to pass judgement on those who break the laws of the Summercourt – like ‘assembly with intent to live’ – and his fiery pronouncements whip all who hear them into a frenzy of righteous indignation.
Abhorrant Gorewarden
The fringes of Ushoran’s realm are guarded by loyal princes known as Abhorrant Gorewardens, who soar the borderlands on leathery wings looking for trespassers, interlopers, and other ne’er-do-wells. They make for mighty Heroes indeed on the battlefield.
Abhorrant Cardinal
Those proselytisers lucky enough to drink from the Mortarch’s legendary chalice are filled with arcane power, reborn as Abhorrant Cardinals to spread the powers of Death with mind-churning sermons. Their Cursed Crozier is also a fearsome weapon in its own right, dealing considerable damage with the Cardinal’s sweeping swings.
Varghulf Courtier
The bestial nature of the Summerking’s most loyal servants manifests in a powerful, monstrous form. They devolve into vicious Varghulf Courtiers, whose elongated arms shred enemies with razor-sharp claws, while their battle frenzy only grows as the creature is surrounded by more and more soon-to-be victims.
Royal Decapitator
When almost every crime has the punishment of death, you need an expert executioner to keep the beheadings on pace, and the Royal Decapitator has had ample practice. These champions of the Flesh-eater Courts wield colossal two-handed axes in battle that hunger for soft and fleshy necks, with a chance to instantly kill any Hero grazed by one of its attacks.
Marrowscroll Herald
Marrowscroll Heralds stalk the battlefield and parley with enemy units by offering them an infected bone – should they refuse the king’s entreaty, nearby ghouls will surge at them with even greater frenzy, but could the price of acceptance truly be worse than death at the hands of furious courtiers?
Morbheg Knights
Knights are the very image of chivalry, even when they ride the nightmarish bat-like monstrosities called Nightshriekers. These Morbheg Knights are a unique breed of shock cavalry who bound across the field, slashing and stabbing with broken, pitted weapons as their mounts consume those who do not flee in terror.
This set builds three plastic Morbheg Knights with a wide variety of options, buildable as regular Knights or a Champion, Musician, and Standard Bearer to lead a unit.
Cryptguard
Cryptguard are the elite infantry of Ushoran’s armies, armed with cursed weapons that elevate them above the endless hordes of shambling ghouls. Every strike of these profane blades drives the sense from their victims’ minds, rendering them unable to receive commands from their leaders and providing ripe pickings for the courts.
This set builds 10 plastic Cryptguard with options for a Champion, Musician, and Standard Bearer, and each miniature can be equipped with a sword or halberd.*
Flesh-eater Courts Dice Set
Don’t worry about carving into the knucklebones scattered around your Flesh-eater Courts – this set of 16 grey plastic dice come pre-loaded with sanguine crimson pips, and feature the faction icon on the six.
Ironhead Squat Prospector Champion with Mining Laser
Much of the mining equipment used by the Ironhead Squat Prospectors can be quickly repurposed into lethal weaponry, turning blazing cutting beams into pinpoint laser weapons that burn great big holes through unlucky gangers and their vehicles. This expert kit is made of Forge World resin, and builds a Champion armed with a powerful Mining Laser and a whirring Circular Stone Saw on a backpack-mounted arm.
Ork Choppa Bottle Opener
Krakk open a cold wun with da boyz. This solid metal bottle opener is the spitting image of a classic Ork choppa, though far less deadly, making it the perfect tool for opening up a few fungus brews before rolling massive handfuls of dice.
* These weapons are purely cosmetic and have the same in-game rules.
