As part of the Black Library Celebration pre-orders this Saturday, you’ll be able to treat yourself to an Ufthak Blackhawk double bill. The self-styled Gargantsmasha is the star of the new novel Da Big Dakka by Mike Brooks, and features as a Commemorative Miniature for this year’s Black Library Celebration.
We sent some great painters from the wider Warhammer hobby community their very own Ufthak, and their results are spectacular.
But first, if you’re planning on pre-ordering Ufthak yourself this weekend, and you’re scratching your noggin’ over how to tackle the flashiest of Bad Moon Bosses, the Warhammer Painting team has got you covered with a slick painting tutorial.
And for more inspiration, here’s what painters from around the community produced.
Adam has cracked out his most vibrant yellow to ensure Ufthak looks as flashy as his legend decrees, and keeps the quality up with dazzling skin (for both Ufthak and Princess) and crisp freehand on the cape.
Never one for conformity, Vincent has taken an alternative spin on Ufthak, decking him out in a fabulous vibrant blue accompanied by contrasting red and orange details. Has Blackhawk defected to the Deathskulls?
Darcy provides a different perspective for Ufthak, opting for the classic black, red and checks of the Goffs – which looks suitably menacing on Blackhawk. Clearly, this is Ufthak bending the knee to the infamous Ghazghkull Thraka.
This is Alison’s brilliant rendition of Ufthawk, back in his glorious Bad Moon livery, with some punchy green skin – fitting for an Ork.
You can pre-order the Ufthak Blackhawk commemorative model tomorrow alongside Da Big Dakka, the latest novel from Mike Brooks featuring everyone’s favourite Titan-levelling Ork.
