There’s a bumper crop of Warhammer Underworlds stuff available to pre-order on Saturday, including Zondara’s Gravebreakers, the Rivals of the Mirrored City, and the Rimelocked Relics deck. Today we’re taking a quick look at both Zondara’s Gravebreakers in Warhammer Age of Sigmar and the Rimelocked Relics deck.
Love is alive in the Mortal Realms… but not always well. A terrible curse has turned Ferlain into a snarling beast. Driven by grief, his lover Zondara has turned to the dark magic of Necromancy and raised a throng of thralls to dig up the thaumaturgical treasures of the Deathgorge in the hopes she will find something, anything, to return Ferlain to his natural form.
In Warhammer Age of Sigmar, this sinister coterie can accompany armies of the Soulblight Gravelords. When Zondara’s undead minions and even Ferlain aren’t acting as meatshields, they operate much the same as they do in Warhammer Underworlds – breaking open tombs and ransacking gravesites to find Unearthed Treasures.
These can be of the rotten corpse variety, returning D3 slain models to the unit, or they can be power relics, granting Zondara an artefact of power from the Soulblight Gravelords army list – as long as another hero in your army isn’t already wielding it. It’s a neat and thematic mechanic that powers the unit up as the game goes on.

Rimelocked Relics
Within the sub-zero environs of the Deathgorge, the supernatural ice of the Everwinter still maintains its grasp on powerful relics from long ago. Warbands with patience can use the Rimelocked Relics deck to Thaw out powerful upgrades to take control of the battlefield and overwhelm their foes.
There are many powerful Upgrades to be found, such as the vicious Frostgale, which always finds its mark and harries enemies with the Ensnare keyword. Polar Connection can be used to amp up attacks for fighters that are sitting on objectives, while Gelid Cyclone whisks a fighter to an unoccupied objective.
These Rimelocked Upgrades also provide additional benefits. Fractured Steps is handy for repositioning fighters who have cards in the process of thawing, Winterborne Might has a fighter trade a Thaw counter for additional dice when attacking, and Sudden Thaw ensures all that magical ice turns into meltwater even faster.
Icebound Defenders incentivises objective play while Steaming Corpses leans into the aggression unlocked by powerful upgrades. For those who master the ins and outs of this tactical deck, Wintry Conquest rewards a whopping three Glory.
Zondara’s Gravebreakers and the Rimelocked Relics Rivals deck will be available for pre-order tomorrow, alongside the Rivals of the Mirrored City, which includes four Warbands from the earliest days of Warhammer Underworlds – and four revamped Rivals decks to accompany them.
