The end of the Dawnbringer Crusades is nigh! Both tines of the Twin-Tailed Crusade have raised their cities against all odds. Embergard stands tall in Aqshy, a bulwark against the roving Bloodbound hordes, while Verdigris watches over the Gulf of Thorns in the Realm of Life. But scornful and envious eyes watch both of these nascent strongholds, and a darker conspiracy is fulminating in the shadows.
As the bells of ruin toll in Dawnbringers: Book VI – Hounds of Chaos, the Darkoath and Bloodbound surge across Aqshy, and Archaon lets loose Abraxia, Spear of the Everchosen, upon Ghyran.
Since her earliest days amongst the Spire Tyrants, Abraxia has fought tooth and nail to snatch life, victory, and power from the world around her. This, as far as she is concerned, is the true nature of Chaos – the Path to Glory is a trial of the self, to which the Ruinous Powers are but gibbering witnesses.
This proud tenacity saw Abraxia work her way up the ranks of the Swords of Chaos – first amongst Archaon’s Eight Circles of Varanguard – from a lowly press-ganged warrior to the Everchosen’s right hand. She has impaled one of Be’lakor’s conspirators on a spiked banner pole, hunted Daemon Princes sworn to all four Ruinous Powers, and even harnessed the Thanatorg, spawn of the ancient drake Varanthax.
Abraxia’s latest rise came when she slew the best contender for leadership of the Swords of Chaos, refusing to serve under anyone more devoted to the gods than the Path. This decisive action saw Archaon personally gift her Gorbolga the Accurs’d – a legendary and nigh-uncontrollable spear – as both a mark of her ascension, and a check against setting her gaze any higher…
In Dawnbringers VI, she has her eyes set on the newly-founded city of Verdigris in Ghyran, determined to turn Hammerhal’s success into a display of futility. She rides with the reality-shattering Varanguard by her side, and the Abraxia’s Varanspear box will be your first chance to get hold of this ferocious champion.
You can also use her in a new Army of Renown, the Swords of Chaos, which sets her amongst a full army of Varanguard – an avalanche of blackened steel, clawed hooves, and devastating power.
As the Dawnbringers spread throughout the mortal realms, the forces of Chaos are mounting counter-offensives of their own. By raising dark shrines on geomantic convergences, they can effectively spike ley lines with daemonic power and corrupt the realms themselves.
Known as Nexus Chaotica, these shrines draw on magical energy to feed the daemons bound within, allowing them to fuel dark sorcery or project pulses of mutative power.
As the Darkoath tribes surge across the Great Parch with Gunnar Brand’s Oathbound at their head, leylines are becoming more and more hotly contested. Dawnbringers seek sites to settle, Chaos-worshippers hope to harness geomantic power, and others stoke hidden agendas that have yet to be revealed…
This earth-shattering climax of the Dawnbringers series has far-reaching consequences that will shape the future of Warhammer Age of Sigmar – you won’t want to miss it.
