It’s Good To Be Bad – Night Lords and Drukhari Mandrakes Hunt Each Other This Week on Warhammer+

It’s a good week to bad on Warhammer+, as our intrepid Battle Report hosts find themselves in command of two repugnant kill teams who live for slaughter. The Night Lords are sadistic murderers who terrorise their foes in battle, but they’re up against stiff competition in the gruesome stakes as they stare down a band of Mandrake assassins.

The Nemesis Claw have descended upon Bheta-Decima to claim a bounty for their Traitor Legion, unaware that a coterie of equally terrifying killers are making a visit from their shadowy realm in order to hunt the most dangerous game – Chaos Space Marines.

This is a suitably sneaky debut for the upcoming Kill Team: Nightmare box, offering the first ever look at both new teams in action. Simon will need to use every grisly trick in the Night Lords book* to claim the seaborne forge temple of Thanator-Argo-5, from Visionary precognition to Fearmonger terrorchems. Nick and his Mandrakes have their own plans – and with the ability to take a Shadow Passage and teleport between patches of darkness, it’s going to be a real jump scare!

You’ll also get a first glimpse at new mission twists from the book – there are things swimming in those dark waters… One thing is certain – whoever overcomes their foe’s terror tactics will emerge as the undisputed master of the shadows, and woe betide any operatives who’ll have to share Bheta-Decima with them.

Elsewhere, Loremasters takes a look beneath the streets of Hammerhal to catch up with Callis and Toll, explore the Order of Azyr to which they belong, and uncover how this duo saved the city from the Kingsblood Curse in Dawnbringers: Book V – Shadow of the Crone. With just a few intrepid heroes pitched against a massive horde of Flesh-eater Courts, they’ll have needed divine intervention to pull them from the fire – and with Krethusa the Croneseer stretching her influence over the Mortal Realms, that may just be what they got.

It’s a bumper three-episode week, and Citadel Colour Masterclass is rounding out the trio with an in-depth guide to paint consistency. Rather than teaching you how to tackle specific elements of your miniatures, this episode lays down wisdom that will help with every part of your painting toolkit – from base coats to final highlights.
