The Black Library Reader’s Choice Winners – Chosen by You

Back in April, we tasked you with voting for your favourite Black Library novels from a shortlist of classics, with the Reader’s Choice winners getting new printed editions next year at the Black Library Celebration. Competition was fierce, with only a few hundred votes between the contenders, but it’s time to learn which stories captured your imagination and earned their revivals.

Titanicus by Dan Abnett

BL ReadersChoice2024 Results May2 Books1

Titans are some of the most awe-inspiring war machines in all of Warhammer 40,000, and they clearly impressed a lot of you – Dan Abnett’s Titanicus is one of your Reader’s Choice picks this year, bringing its compelling tale of macro-scale war back to your shelves.

From Black Library: “When the vital forge world of Orestes comes under attack by a legion of Chaos Titans, the planet is forced to appeal for help. The Titans of Legio Invicta, although fresh from combat and in desperate need of refit and repair, respond, committing their own force of war engines to the battle. As the god-machines stride to war, the world trembles, for the devastation they unleash could destroy the very world they have pledged to save.”

Grey Seer by C L Werner

BL ReadersChoice2024 Results May2 Books2

No doubt buoyed by the resurgent Skaven blasting their way into the Mortal Realms in the awesome cinematic trailer for the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Grey Seer has clinched first place in the World of Legend category. Thanquol is one of the most popular villains* from the setting – and one of the few who made it to the Mortal Realms unscathed – so it’ll pay to know his wicked ways as the children of the Great Horned Rat rise ascendant.

From Black Library: “Nefarious Grey Seer Thanquol, Skaven sorcerer and arch-enemy of Gotrek & Felix, embarks on his own adventure to recover the deadly artefact known only as Wormstone. With this dread substance, he plots to poison the city of Altdorf and rise to power in the eyes of his masters amongst the Council of Thirteen.”

These winning books will be returning to print in new physical editions next year, so make sure to keep an eye on Warhammer Community to find out when you can get them.

* Or heroes, depending on your perspective, yes-yes.
