This Saturday’s pre-orders focus on the White Dwarf 500 celebrations, new units for Legions Imperialis, and an unruly horde of Made to Order Orcs and Goblins – or Urks and Grobi, as Grombrindal might call them.
White Dwarf Issue 500
White Dwarf has reached a dizzying milestone with its 500th issue. To celebrate, the team has assembled a bumper 192-page edition. White Dwarf Issue 500 is packed with all the usual great Warhammer articles you are used to, such as The Bunker and its Scenarios of the Month. Alongside this, it also features articles about White Dwarf, including a making of the new Grombrindal miniature, an ’Eavy Metal paint tutorial for the very same Dwarf, and a feature where ’Eavy Metal are challenged to create a diorama that would fit on a cover.
There’s also a trip down memory lane to look at the magazine’s auspicious past, a blockbuster battle report, the missions to play it yourself at home, and a host of rules for Grombrindal in various Warhammer games.*
Grombrindal, the White Dwarf
You can’t celebrate the 500th issue of White Dwarf without an appearance from the White-Bearded Ancestor himself – which is why there is a commemorative miniature of Grombrindal, the White Dwarf released alongside this landmark magazine. This take on the enduring archetype ties him to the duardin of the Mortal Realms, which you can read all about in the magazine.
As a limited edition miniature, you’ll be able to pre-order Grombrindal from Saturday the 4th of May, and he’ll be available to purchase from Saturday 18th of May 2024 until Sunday the 2nd of June 2024 – anyone who orders him during this period is guaranteed to receive one.*
