It’s a big week for all things Warhammer, with TWO preview events - The Mortal Realms Reforged on Thursday night, and the Warhammer Preview Show on Saturday. There’s all sorts of exciting reveals to look forward to, more on that shortly.
It’s an uncharacteristically light time for pre-orders next week, but there’s a treat for fans of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game as classic miniatures from Rohan are returning for a limited time as Made to Order releases. They’ll be on sale from 10am local time on Saturday the 18th of May until 6pm GMT on Sunday the 26th of May. Orders may take up to 180 days to arrive.
Made to Order: Heroes of Helm’s Deep™
The defence of Helm’s Deep was one of the defining moments of the War of the Ring, and the legendary warriors who held the fortress walls return in the Heroes of Helm’s Deep set. This pack of eight metal miniatures includes versions of Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Haldir, Théoden, Éowyn, Gamling, and a banner bearer of the Galadhrim depicted as they were during the siege, and can be used as alternate models using the units’ standard rules.
Made to Order: Defenders of Rohan™
Even before the Battle of Helm’s Deep, Aragorn and company offered their aid to Rohan as the forces of Isengard made their first moves, and this set of seven metal miniatures depicts them in more casual times before battle is joined. Each box includes Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Théoden, Gamling, Hama, and Éomer, who can be used as alternative miniatures with their normal rules.
Made to Order: Rohan™ Heroes
King Théoden, Gamling, and Éomer also return on horseback to lead the famous Riders of Rohan, while a pair of Rohan Commanders support their soldiers with a regal banner and the Heroic March action to add some pep to their step.
Over at Warhammer+, Loremasters follows on from the recent release of Codex: T’au Empire with a deep exploration of the allies and auxiliaries brought into the Tau’va fold by the Ethereals, from the mercenary Kroot to more weird and wonderful xenos. The Battle Report team get themselves in the mood for an impending Chaos invasion with a nail-biting clash between Chaos Space Marines – using the new Codex – and the Adeptus Mechanicus, while Citadel Colour Masterclass prepares for the Archenemy’s attack with an in-depth guide to painting Adeptus Custodes power weapons.
Here at Warhammer Community, we’re gearing up for a pair of preview shows stuffed with exciting new announcements, with a Warhammer Age of Sigmar spectacular coming up on Friday and news from Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Legions Imperialis, and Necromunda following on Saturday.
