Over the past few months, Warhammer hobbyists have been battling to decide the fates of the cities founded during the Dawnbringer Crusades – taking part in this campaign at stores all around the world, helping either to raise new free cities or bring them to ruin via all sorts of hobby activities, from painting new units to battling their friends.
The results are now in, and 328 settlements were found and have successfully driven back the enemies of Order – though 172 were brought low, despite the desperate efforts of the God-King’s faithful.
Those that did survive now count themselves amongst the islands in the darkness, and must continue to hold fast against the forces of Death, Destruction, and Chaos. Will they stand bright and bold, against the near-endless tide of Skaven now pouring across the Mortal Realms in the wake of the Vermindoom?
Dolorous bells peeling in the dark? That sickly green glow pouring through the sewer grates? Chittering carried on the wind? It’s surely nothing to worry about…
There’s a major conflict brewing in Aqshy, where the city of Hel Crown stands on the precipice of the Skaven incursion. Once Skaventide is released on Saturday, you can take part in the Slaughter at Hel Crown global campaign.
Each Skaventide set contains a leaflet with a QR code pointing you to a website, where you can log your contribution to the battle. At the end of the event, we will proclaim one side the winner – and fully reveal all the upcoming releases for the victorious faction, long before those of the loser.
What’s more, we will draw five entries at random, and those players will win all the Stormcast or Skaven releases (your choice!) up until the end of July 2025. Terms and conditions apply.
While the ratmen and the warriors of Sigmar battle for control of the city interior, other factions will fight to seize power in the area around Hel Crown. In addition to the results from your Skaventide boxed set, you will be able to enter battle results between all other factions at the same website, shaping the outcome of the wider struggle.
The Battle for Hel Crown will run for three weeks after the release of the Skaventide launch box – which is already up for pre-order, and releases on Saturday the 13th of July.
