Warhammer 40,000 explores the grim darkness of the far future, a time where war is eternal and faint glimmers of hope are blotted out by storms of gunfire as factions clash in bloody battle, fighting for their survival in an uncaring galaxy.
Getting into Warhammer 40,000 is about to become easier than ever with Combat Patrol, a new subscription magazine produced in partnership with Hachette which will load you up with nine full Combat Patrols across the length of the series. Each magazine includes miniatures, rules, and background lore, and the first issue is out now!
Combat Patrol is named after the fast-paced game mode that acts as a perfect introduction to Warhammer 40,000, and an exciting tactical challenge in its own right. Players duke it out over a series of missions with preselected Combat Patrol forces that are designed to battle together, and by subscribing to this magazine you’ll build your own collection while learning how to play the game across 90 issues.
The magazine is designed to introduce you to the vast and rich setting of Warhammer 40,000, with a cast of characters that runs the gamut from pitless commanders and unrelenting tyrants to valiant heroes and terrifying monsters. Over the course of the magazine, you’ll also get introduced to the core rules of Warhammer 40,000, as well as the Combat Patrol game mode itself.
Your subscription will bring nine complete Combat Patrols: Space Marines, Tyranids, Aeldari, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, Leagues of Votann, Genestealer Cults, Astra Militarum, and World Eaters. Each faction comes with an additional unit not found in their usual Combat Patrols, with a new datasheet to use in your games.
This makes it a fantastic prospect for both new hobbyists and veterans who want to expand their collection. Issue five also comes with a new Infernus Marine Sergeant available first as part of the magazine.
The magazine explains the wider Warhammer hobby with tutorials that teach you all about building, painting, and playing, and there will be a new serialised story about the Silver Templars chapter of Space Marines.
You can also upgrade to a premium subscription to supercharge your collection with bigger miniatures such as the hulking Brutalis Dreadnought and the Rogal Dorn Battle Tank, which make great painting projects and ideal next steps for expanding into larger armies.
Combat Patrol is currently only available in the UK. You’ll be able to subscribe with our partners at Hachette Partworks, and single issues will go on sale at selected high street stores. Grab yours now!
