The forces of Chaos are having what we at Warhammer Community call a ‘right moment’, with hordes of northern warriors streaming down through the World of Legend, even as insidious tendrils of corruption worm through the Mechanicum on Mars.
Campaigns of The Age of Darkness: The Martian Civil War
The Mechanicum were no less embroiled in the Horus Heresy than the Legiones Astartes, as ambitious inventors and unscrupulous tech-magi embraced the freedom to experiment that Chaos offered and unleashed hellish contraptions on their former colleagues. The battle for the technological heart of the Imperium begins in Campaigns of The Age of Darkness: The Martian Civil War – a new campaign supplement charting the full length of the Red Planet’s insurrection.
Inside this 168-page hardback you’ll find new and in-depth background lore about the Schism of Mars, new missions, rules for embarking on an Onslaught campaign themed around the conflict, and additional units and Techno-heresy rules that highlight the profane machines renegade magi employed.
This book is available now in hardback and ePub formats.
Archmagos Prime
The Archmagos Prime is the supreme commander of a Taghmata and blends wicked intelligence with a keen strategic mind, running through multiple battleplans in an instant. This miniature is armed with a corposant stave, a conversion beamer, and a volkite serpenta, giving them a vicious punch at range and up close.
Thallax Cohort
Thallax Cohorts blend the speed of their jetpacks with lethal lightning guns and a highly durable chassis. This unit of six Thallax contains options to equip two with phased plasma-fusils, photon thrusters, or multi-meltas, and you also get a Mechanicum Constructs transfer sheet with 558 decals.
Castellax Battle-automata Maniple
Originally conceived to be the mainstay of the Martian legions, Castellax automata are monstrously powerful war engines equipped with a variety of deadly ranged and close combat weapons. This set of two Castellax can be assembled with shock chargers or power blade arrays for melee work, and mauler bolt cannons or a single darkfire cannon and multi-melta. It also includes a Mechanicum Constructs transfer sheet with 558 decals.
Thanatar Cavas Siege-automata
The Thanatar Cavas Siege-automata stands even taller than a Castellax and mounts an enormous hellex plasma mortar for demolishing defensive forces down to the rubble. It’s also equipped with shock chargers – in case the enemy get a little too close – and a twin-linked mauler bolt cannon. It comes with a Mechanicum Macro-constructs transfer sheet with 394 decals.
Tech-thralls Covenant
Getting on the wrong side of a magos is a great way to end up converted into a tech-thrall – a shambling cyborg drone with its free will shackled to the Machine Cult – and when war gets a little too close for comfort these hordes of expendable chaff are fitted with las-locks and ushered towards the front lines. This set of 20 Adsecularis Tech-thralls is a great way to bulk out your Taghmata and throw some bodies in front of your pristine automata.
Triaros Armoured Conveyor
The Triaros Armoured Conveyor is the vehicle of choice for delivering Mechanicum infantry across dangerous battlefields, and its impressive bulk and flare shield ensure they’ll get there safely. This unique kit comes with options for two hunter-killer missiles and a Mechanicum Macro-constructs transfer sheet with 394 decals.
Mechanicum Dice Set
Finish off your Martian contingent with a set of 20 dice cast in pearlescent red plastic with white pips and the Mechnicum logo on the six face. Included are 19 regular six-sided dice and one scatter dice for use in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.

Chaos Chosen Command
Even the chosen warriors of the Dark Powers need their rage directed every now and then, a job best left to the experienced Chaos Chosen Command. This pack of five metal miniatures includes two regular Chosen, a drum-bearing Musician, an Icon Bearer, and a Champion with an unsettling mutated hand.
Warriors of Chaos Characters
Classic Lords and Heroes return from the Chaos Wastes to lead your ravagers to victory, starting with a Champion of Chaos, a Sorcerer of Chaos, and a Chaos Lord mounted on a Manticore, all in plastic. reRurning in metal are a Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount, a Sorcerer of Chaos on a Chaos Steed, and another Champion of Chaos.
Warriors of Chaos Monsters and War Machines
The Chaos Wastes are rife with monsters that are regularly unleashed in battle to add a spot of terror to the horde’s unstoppable charge. Dragon Ogres and a Chimera (both in plastic) are all excellent editions to your army, while classic Chaos Trolls, Chaos Ogres, and the Chaos Ogre Command all return in metal.
Then, in Forge World resin, Skin Wolves, the Dragon Ogre Shaggoth, and the Gigantic Spawn arrive, backed up by the daemonic war machine known as the Hellcannon.
Dwarfen Mountain Holds – Made to Order
The Warriors of Chaos aren’t the only ones with classic miniatures returning to action, as a band of Dwarfen champions come down from their mountain holds to beef up your throng on a Made to Order basis. First, a pack of five metal Dwarf Lords gives you multiple options for leaders and heroes – including one brandishing a handgun – while the Dwarf Queen formerly known as Helga Longplaits returns from the long-ago mists of the 1990s for the first time.
A pack of three Dwarf Runesmiths is the perfect pairing for your more combat-oriented Lords and Heroes, and a set of four metal Slayers of Legend can represent the most lethal of these red-maned death seekers. Finally, pick up a pack including a Thane, a Battle Standard bearer, and a Lord to complete your army command in one fell swoop.
These are available to order from 10am local time on Saturday the 31st of August until 8am BST on Monday the 9th of September – and as Made to Order Products they may take up to 180 days to ship.
