Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector Puts the Fate of Baal in Your Hands

40k Battlesector Jul22 Header

Today sees the launch of the latest Warhammer video game, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector – a fast-paced, turn-based strategy game from Slitherine, the people behind previous excursions into the 41st Millennium like Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, and Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach.

Experience an epic campaign that plunges you into the aftermath of the Devastation of Baal as you help Sergeant Carleon of the Blood Angels purge Baal Secundus of a ravening Tyranid horde.

In this stunning game, you can fight across the surface of the Chapter’s home world on maps of your choosing. Command the Blood Angels and fight to rid Baal of the xenos threat, or inhabit the Hive Mind to throw wave after wave of monstrous creatures at the Space Marine defences in Skirmish mode.

Options abound for making the armies your own, too – you can completely customise your army list by picking your units, heroes, and their loadouts, making for an enjoyably flexible experience.

Play with iconic units like the Sanguinary Priest, the Librarian Dreadnought, and the Hive Tyrant to annihilate your foes, and employ more than 60 abilities and a whopping 50 weapons to orchestrate your opponent’s bloody demise.

Command Points can be used to call in faction-specific air-support abilities. For example, the Blood Angels’ Stormraven can obliterate xenos hordes with a missile barrage, while the Tyranid Harpy can devastate enemy defences with its Sonic Screech or disrupt the battlefield with its deadly Spore Mines.

Plus, with live and asynchronous multiplayer, and hotseat modes available, there’s no excuse not to take your friends to war to preserve the honour of the noble Blood Angels – or crush it beneath the Hive Mind’s chitinous heel.

Check out the action-packed launch trailer.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is available to buy now from Slitherine, as well as on the Steam, Epic, GOG, and Humble Bundle stores.
