The Warhammer Hobby Community Presents a Flock of Fantastic Miniatures from Dawnbringers: Book V

Dawnbringers: Book V – Shadow of the Crone is available for pre-order this weekend alongside two new sets of miniatures – the men and women (and Stormcast Eternal, and gryph-hound, and cat) of the Saviours of Cinderfall, and Krethusa’s Cronehost.

We sent a selection of these miniatures out to the wider Warhammer hobby community, and they’ve made them all look fantastic.

Vincent’s models are all painted with Contrast paints and highlights for an eye-catching effect. He’s also done a little kitbashing; “I swapped Lyssa's grappling hook for a flail tip from the Cities of Sigmar Freeguild Cavaliers. She's swinging it into battle as an improvised weapon.”

The Saviours of Cinderfall are a real rogues' gallery of characterful miniatures. Adam from Siege Studios and Brennan have also each provided fantastic takes on them.

Krethusa is the newest character to join the Daughters of Khaine, and Nyara from La Voz De Sigmar had lots to say about the Prophet of Morai-Heg.

“I really appreciate that the design of the miniature allows for both a striking and quick result for beginners (thanks to the wings and hair), as well as a great basis for more experienced painters to take the painting further, with the potential of the brazier and the gloomy aura surrounding the character and its posture. I liked the ’Eavy Metal version and didn't want to change it too much, choosing instead just to emphasise the purple tones and make the wings a little bluer in contrast to the black crows."

We also received wonderful renditions from Michael, Joshua, and Jessica, who each brought their own vibe to the miniature, with moody takes on the lighting, smoke, and sable wings.

Jennifer from Tabletop Time brought object source lighting and complementary hues to the party. “I was extremely excited to paint Krethusa brooding over a bubbling well of lava. She matches the rest of the Daughters of Khaine I’ve recently started painting, which are based in the scorching lava flows of Aqshy.”

Tiffany, the AoS Coach, and Matt from Sprues and Brews also contributed to our colourful collection of Croneseers, with some sharp takes on the wings, cloth, and stonework.

Finally, Oliver from Goonhammer has contrasted deep magenta with striking turquoise, while Alison has opted for warm purple wings set off by green smoke and vibrant white hair.

Thanks again to everyone who took part. Krethusa’s Cronehost, the Saviours of Cinderfall, and Dawnbringers: Book V – Shadow of the Crone are all available for pre-order tomorrow, bringing with them the next chapter of the Dawnbringers story.
