A time of great change has descended upon the 41st Millennium. The Chapter Approved: War Zone Nephilim – Grand Tournament Mission Pack is shaking up tactics and army lists for a new season of matched play, while a wide range of factions have earned significant adjustments in the Balance Dataslate and Munitorum Field Manual.*

As we emerge blinking into the light of this new age, there remain a few burning questions to be cleared up, and a new round of FAQs is here to do just that.

These documents clear up some uncertainties, and codify the rules changes from recent updates – including reverting changes to key Adeptus Mechanicus Stratagems and returning the CORE keyword to their Ironstrider engines. The new FAQs can all be downloaded right here.**

Among the various updates, units that cannot be affected by psychic powers – like the grim Sisters of Silence – have their capabilities clarified. Notably, models that have received a boost to their abilities from a psychic power – such as Aeldari Guardians affected by a Farseer’s Guide – do not feel the benefits when targeting a psychically null unit. Powers like Smite that automatically target the closest unit will also fail entirely if the closest target is immune.

Fans of melee combat will find fighting in and around area terrain much easier than before with a more lenient Engagement Range, increasing to 2” so long as your miniatures are close to the terrain, and the line between them and their target passes through it. This makes it much easier for you to maximise the number of models getting stuck in, especially amid intricate terrain pieces and thicker walls.
