Rest assured, however, that rumours of a fresh assault against our beloved Imperium are false. The Archenemy is firmly on the run, and your target is likely a fleeing derelict laden with cowardly stragglers.
Meeting the enemy in boarding action combat requires a slight recalibration of combat tactics. No longer may you expect suppressing fire from field ordnance, or the luxury of mechanised support. Inside the confines of a hostile vessel, it is simply you, your lasgun, and your unbending faith in the Emperor.
Fear not! You will enter these treacherous corridors shoulder-to-shoulder with your fellow Guardsmen, sharing both noble purpose and personal space. In those unlikely circumstances wherein your righteous firepower cannot succeed, the press of your valiant Imperial bodies will provide a reliable bulwark between superior officers and the oncoming foe.
In the last remaining moments before your boarding craft makes contact, remember that you are part of an illustrious venture for which success is guaranteed – no less than victory or sacrifice in the Emperor’s name awaits. Even should your spirits fail or bodies fall, the high-yield remote-activated munitions installed in this boarding craft will ensure your martyrdom serves the Imperium well.
In the event of a successful boarding action, please remember to retain a copy of your unit’s signed and stamped Operational Extraction Form EXFIL012554 - A/N from your platoon commander, in advance of retrieval.
Failure to present proper documentation to your assigned Navy representative will result in abandonment in the cold depths of space. This constitutes wilful desertion, a shameful crime for which the minimum penalty is flogging. In the event that your frozen body cannot be retrieved from the void, the requisite lashes are expected to be self-administered.
